How to remove lint from wall that was painted on??

We did some painting in our basement apartment last week. We were painting the living room. There isnt much light in there...

Yesterday we went down there to bring a cabinet down that we purchased for the bathroom and Danielle noticed there was lint on some of the walls.

It looks as though the rollers left lint on the walls and now they are dried into the paint.

How do we go about removing the lint? Do we have to sand down the walls and repaint them? I am really annoyed now. It seems like we have to do alot of extra work on this apartment and it is just driving us crazy.

Someone please help us...
Scott

Unfortunately-- yes you do have to re-sand the walls and re-paint it.

We mistakenly bought the Cheap-O 6-pack of rollers and we painted 2 rooms with them before we realized that the lint from the roller was all over and stuck in the wall. DH had to sand down both rooms again and re-do it with a better quality roller.

This is the one time where paying more for a higher quality item is worth it!

Sorry 'bout that!

no you do not need to re-primer. Sanding does not take the color off, so all you need is another coat of color... possibly 2. For our camel colored bathroom we needed 2, for our cream colored room, we only needed 1.

Oh bummer you had two different rooms that had this problem. I think i am going to stick with the foam rollers from now on.
