Cost of wedding at Oheka Castle
Im just curious if any was got a price quote from Oheka Castle. I have an appointment to go sit down and discuss prices but she already sent me something with the price range. It said between $200-$400 a person and a site of $7,000-$13,000 minimum of 150 guests. I read on another post that it was $150-$250 a person and a $5,000 site fee if you have your wedding during certain months. Does anyone know what the real prices are?

yeah depends on the month it can be $150-250 with $5k site fee. She sent you the prices of their peak season, did you ask for a particular day if so then she gave you the price for that day which fell during peak season, if not then shes just giving you a heads up of how pricey it can be if you do want a popular month.
WInter months and i dont even think its all of winter, its 150-250 with 5k site fee, and im not even sure if its for any day of the week. The people i know who got this quote were not looking at a saturday evening. So also depends alot on if you do friday, saturday, sunday or some do during the week now.

they've been $200-400 for a while, i know even right after i was engaged, i saw that it cost that much for oheka castle. But again, depending on day of week and month.
Someone i know wanted to get married thanksgiving eve of 09 at oheka and the prices were similar to the $150 range and 5k site fee but thats also bc its a wednesday

Re: Cost of wedding at Oheka Castle
If you get married there during the peak season it will be very expensive, but if you really want to get married there try off peak months, after holidays, new years etc and Im sure the price will be lowed a good amount

Re: Cost of wedding at Oheka Castle
I would say on average if you want a lot of food it's about $300 pp. You can get down to $250 but that is a very standard menu. I believe the site fee can range depending on whether it's a Friday, Saturday or Sunday and it can go up to $10,000. You also have to remember that an after party is included in the price and you have to pay for extra entertainment and flowers.

I bet my cousin will get married there (she wanted her sweet 16 there - HA!) but I'll have to wait a couple years - she's only 21 and not quite engaged yet (maybe next year!).

Re: Cost of wedding at Oheka Castle
we looked at oheka.. we were looking at end of may and beginning of june dates and they told us it would be about 250 just per head WITHOUT the food b/c we wanted an outside caterer.. and i forget the site fee as well - my heart was so set on it.. but our min. count was slightly higher than what they could accomodate and my parents were ecstatic

Re: Cost of wedding at Oheka Castle
Oheka Castle is very nice. I went to a wedding a few years ago. I believe it was in June. To be honest I wasn't that impressed. The grounds were very nice but the food and the room could have been better...to top it off it was a buffet and we had to get up and go into another room to get our utensils and food. I think for the price you pay to have your wedding you can go to so many other places that are just as nice and you can get more for your money.

I went to a wedding there a couple years ago. It was the Friday night before that February break week (the girl is a teacher) and they waived the site fee. It was gorgeous and when we started planning, FH wanted to look but I told him that he was nuts. Even IF they waived the site fee, we still couldn't swing the pp price. If you can do it, it's awesome.

I went there for a conference for work and I fell in love but knew there was no feasible way.. but one of my students' cousins had her wedding there, and was on the cover of that free wedding mag you can pick up at CVS... from the look of her dress and DO everything, yeah she could afford it way more than me....
