LINDENHURST SCHOOLS

We found a house in Lindenhurst that we LOVE but I dont know a lot about the schools. Does anybody have any feedback?

I hear Lindy has good scores. I would google the school and look up the statistics.

Compared to many other districts, Lindenhurst isn't bad at all. Lots of parts of Lindenhurst are actually really nice---but there a few areas where it's changed for the worse.

My mom grew up in Lindenhurst and I still have family there. My cousins went to Lindenhurst schools and turned out okay!

overall its not bad.....

certain neighborhoods are better than others, but ive never heard anything bad about it....

and i currently live in copiague and lindenhurst is sooooo much better

I have to agree, my best friend lives in Lindenhurts and much of it it really nice. I think parts of it north of sunrise are a bit ify and I think the schools are fairly good.

I grew up in Lindenhurst and still live here..that is where we are looking for a house as well. Schools are good. Try to stay away from North Lindenhurst(by 109) I love it here and really dont want to leave!

I teach in Copiague...did you go to school there?

lol!!!

Lindenhurst is a good school district...some of the teachers I work with have their kids in that district.

No offense....but there is more to a school district than its scores...there is the administration, teacher-student ratio, and many more things that make a school district a good school district. Roslyn has great scores and the superintendent was actually stealing from the taxpayers....

I grew up in Lindy and still live here. I agree with this. I am a teacher and I would send my kids to the schools. The report cards are ususally good for here.
