A question for those who took pictures before the ceremony...
...who did you include?I'm ok taking pics with the BO, and maybe my parents, but I'm on the fence about who else I want to see me before the ceremony. We don't want to miss the cocktail hour, and there is no time between the ceremony and the cocktail hour.
Any feedback would be great

Re: A question for those who took pictures before the ceremony...
Im not a big fan of posed photos so we made our choices knowing so few of our posed photos would be something we would use again. We had one big limo that took the bridal party and the parents to Grand Central. We took some posed portraits there and then sent the party and the parents on the church while Luke and I continued to have a little shoot in Times Square. Ideally, we would have liked to have the bridal party with us for a few minutes in Times Square but time was running short and we wanted to make sure the most important photos (us!) were given the necessary time.
Right before the reception began, we took a few more group shots outside and then continued on to the cocktail hour. There was no way we were missing that and our bridal party was happy their 'job' was over :D

We took all the photos before the ceremony except my family. Then we took a group photo with my family and one with me and my brothers, after the ceremony at the church. My parents have passed away so we didn't have much to take on my side.We also took a couple of just us before the cocktail hour at the Watermill.
Hope this helps in some way.

Our BP went with us to Westbury Gardens to take those pics. When we got to our ceremony/reception site some of our guests were already there and saw me so we started taking some of the group shots and finished them up right after the ceremony.I thought it would bother me for just about everyone to see me before the ceremony but it really didnt and I was glad to have less pictures to take after the ceremony.

I took pics at my mother's house where I was getting dressed in the morning along with all my BM's, MOH, parents and silbing. We got some nice shots with myself alone, me and all my BM's, me with my Jr. BM and MOH, me with my bro., me with my parents. All various poses of creative, candid and formal portaits. It worked out well.DH and I had no contact with each other prior to our ceremony. We did not take pictures together before our ceremony since it was bad luck to have contact. We were following tradition. We did take picture at our reception venue as we finished our ceremony early and arrived early to our reception. As our waited for cocktail hour to begin we took the opportunity for pictures.

We had everyone there that was needed for posed pictures. I knew that pulling everyone out of the cocktail hour would be no fun, and take lots more time. I wanted my guests to be able to enjoy the party too! So that meant that both immediate families, the bridal party, and my aunts/uncles/great-grandma were there early for portraits.

It was just me and DH! That's it. It was a nice moment to share, just the two of us. THe rest of the day was filled with sooo many people. I am glad we got to do something alone.

We did all our BP pics before hand. After the ceremony we did the family pictures then everyone enjoyed the cocktail hour together. It worked out nicely. No one missed anything.
