hmmm Cake flavors and fillings which ones are the best????

A little background my sis is a pastry chef and she is making my cakes. we are going to have a cake tasting soon.

I need ideas on different kinds of fillings and flavors of cakes.

I also want to know what everyones favorites are.

I have 3 favorites.

1) Chocolate pudding
2) Fresh Strawberries
3) Cannoli

Of course in no particular order.

A combo would be perfect!!!!

My favorite is devils food w/cannoli filling-as a bridal attendant I get to taste a lot of different cakes!!!

mmmmm!!!! you guys are gives me cravings!!!

my fave flavor filling is coffee. the taste, the scent! mm mm mmmmm! i can eat it but i can't drink it.. why's that? but o well. mmmmmm!

I had chocolate cake with hazelnut filling (like the Italian chocolates - Baci) and white fondant icicing - mmmm!!!

Chocolate-covered chocolate with chocolate filling.

The chocolate with hazelnut sounds really good though. Or with raspberry!

I had vanilla sponge cake with a layer of chocolate mousse and a layer of fresh stawberries. Whipped cream topping.

Well another girl recomended her filling and that's what we are planning on going with. Chocolate cake with a layer of raspberry filling and a layer of canoli filling.

This decision is 100% FH's to make and he wants 2 layers chocolate pudding and 2 layers cannoli cream. YUM!

I like chocolate cake. Maybe with caramel creme. raspberry filling? I have heard of chocolate with peanut butter filling. Kinda different, definitely memorable.

We had 2 tiers chocolate cake with canoli filling and 2 tiers yellow cake with chocolate mousse.
Both great!
chocolate pudding sounds good too...
I am not a big fan of raspberry or strawberry fillings, but that is JMO.

I went to a wedding in pennsylvania a while ago and they had the best wedding cake. it was choc. layer cake with choc. ganach, hazlenut caramelly stuff, and mocha cream in between the layers. soooo good!!! Im not a fan of canolli.
