Sending an invitation that is an attention getter is the first step in hosting a fabulous party. Here are some tips to help you get started:
- Pick an invitation that sets the tone for your party. If you are having a 4th of July party then your invitation should reflect the colors and the spirit of the day. It should communicate the style of party you plan on having.
- Be sure to include all the important information that guests need know. It minimizes confusion. Answer the basic questions: who, what, where, and when.
- You can send your invitation electronically or send a traditional invitation in the mail. Depending on your guest list, you may select one over the other or do both. Electronic invitations save money and make RSVP's easier to track. While traditional invitations have a more formal feel and give guests a hard copy to post on their bulletin board as a reminder.
- Make sure you give your guests plenty of notice. Two to Three weeks ahead of time is a good rule of thumb. Too early and guests will forget, too late and guests may already have plans.
Whatever event you're hosting enjoy yourself and let the invitation reflect your person
