STDs and Rehearsal Dinner Invitations (Wedding Paper Divas): A
My MIL used this website for our STDs and Rehearsal Dinner invitations. I didn’t have much involvement, except picking them out from choices she gave me that she saw. They do beautiful designs.



Bridal Shower (HR Singletons): A+
My MOH, mom, and bridesmaids did a wonderful job on my bridal shower! HSR Singleton’s was great. The food was wonderful, and staff was so helpful. They even helped me out to the car with all the gifts afterwards!





Wedding Bands (Gennaro Jewelers and Diamonds International): A
Both did an amazing job on my husband’s wedding band and mine. Mine was ready in a matter of hours because I was there on a cruise and was going to be leaving, and his was ready in a week. Both are beautiful!

Invitations (Vistaprint and Cards & Pockets): A
Vistaprint is really great for stationary of any kind. My guests loved my invitations and were so impressed by them (partly because I DIYed the assembly and little touches, too), but I loved that you could edit most of the template and customize however you want it. Cards and Pockets was great, too. You can order samples first to check colors, they offer a color chart with codes, and everything is very affordable.





Day of Wear (David’s Bridal): A-
I got my Bride track suit here and it was so comfortable, no complaints there (even though it shrunk after one wash). I also got my MOH's tank top here which was very comfortable for her.




Garter (Garters by Kristi): A+
Kristi was amazing! I have a bigger thigh, and she made a special order for me! She did an amazing job!

Jewelry (Thomas Knoell Designs): A+
I had a great experience with Thomas Knoell. They were very attentive, and really made me feel like they just wanted to help make me look beautiful.

Gown and Veil (Fantasia Bridal Center): A-
Rocky Point, NY
I had an amazing experience with Fantasia Bridal picking out my gown and veil. They are accommodating, very nice and not pushy at all. My only negative comment is that they didn’t iron my veil so when I came to pick it up, it was in a bag at the bottom of the dress bag and I had to wait a little bit for them to iron it. It was annoying, but nothing too serious.





Bridesmaids & Flower Girl Dresses (David’s Bridal): B
When my bridesmaids ordered their dresses, the girl was very accommodating and helpful to us. There were a few of us, and she was very helpful sizing everyone. They do, however, give such a long time frame for the dresses to come in, and it is quite nerve wracking. My MOH ordered a brooch for her dress that would match the bridesmaids dresses, and the brooch fell apart before she could even wear it.





MOB Dress (Fantasia Bridal Center): A
They did a great job. My mother is pear-shaped, so they had to do a lot of alterations, but the dress looked great!





Tuxedos (Foresto): A-
Everything was good with the tuxedos, although my husband wasn’t entirely happy. He wished he could have tried things on, instead of just being measured and trusting their work. Everything worked out fine, but they didn’t really try to make him feel any better about his concerns.



Limousines (Camelot Specialty Limos): A-
Our limo drivers were all wonderful. The only reason I did not give them a perfect score is because one of the limos got lost on the way to the reception.



Rehearsal Dinner (Umberto’s of New Hyde Park): A-
The service at our rehearsal dinner was wonderful. Our headwaiter was very accommodating because I had brought a groom’s cake for my husband and had something special planned when I presented it. He was willing to do everything exactly as I wanted it. My only complaint is that the manager didn’t really listen to us during the planning process. My in-laws would ask questions and he would shrug them off in such a nonchalant way that was very unsettling.

GM Gifts (The Knot): B-
The groomsmen got cuff links with their initials on them. They were nice, and good quality, but the engraving was very light, and uneven.

BM Gifts (The Knot and AVON): A+
The bridesmaids got personalized totes with bridesmaid shirts from The Knot. They were great, and my bridesmaids loved them. They also got day of jewelry from AVON, which matched the dress colors perfectly, that they adored.

Parent Gifts (Exclusively Weddings): A-
Exclusively Weddings did an amazing job on all the parent gifts. We got my mother a personalized throw, my dad a dual picture frame, my MIL a personalized picture frame, and my FIL a personalized DVD case for the wedding DVD. Their only drawback is that because everything is personalized, it takes a very long time to receive them. Like, 4 weeks long.

Groom’s Cake (Sweet Karma Bakery): A-
Sweet Karma did a great job with my husband’s cake, and it came out amazing. He loved it! The only thing was they actually lost my order, and when I called they realized it. Good thing I called them, but they were very apologetic, and the work was done beautifully.

Channa Plaque (My Sweet Memories): A+
All I can say is Wow! Channa was so helpful, and patient. Our plaque came out beautiful.



Hair and Makeup (Hair Effex): A++
Bellmore, NY
This is my normal hair salon. All of the stylists did an amazing job on all my girls. The makeup artist did an amazing job, as well. My girls looked beautiful!!





Unique Entertainment (DJ/MC): A-
Our DJ and MC did a great job. My husband LOVES house music. Our DJ was very nervous that people weren’t going to enjoy it at the wedding, and definitely voiced his opinion, but we stuck to our guns and the party was great. We have received so many compliments.






Sherwood Triart (Photography/Videography): A+
Sherwood Triart was great. Our photographer, Brian, was wonderful at making sure he got all the shots we wanted. We can’t wait to see the pictures!!!

Florist (Pedestals Floral Decorators): A++
Nadia from Pedestals did a beautiful job at all of the flowers!! She also really listened to our vision for the day. We wanted everything very simple. Every time we discussed a different piece of our flower needs, she kept referring to the fact that we wanted simple. I loved that she really listened to our needs.



Ceremony (Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal): C
Our priest was very nice in the time leading up to the wedding. But, he would not do a rehearsal with everyone, so my bridal party didn’t know who they were walking with down the aisle (I gave them a list, but they didn’t know each other to put a name with a face). He was questioning them and they had no idea. And I heard from a few people that he just wasn’t nice the day of.

Reception (Jericho Terrace): A+++++
Jericho Terrace is a beautiful catering hall and their level of service is impeccable. Our maître d’ did a wonderful job at making sure the night ran smoothly, and our bridal attendants were wonderful, as well. Mine literally followed me holding my train and flowers all during pictures. She made sure she had a sheet to cover my dress so I could have some food in the bridal suite before we went to our cocktail hour to greet our guests, and she was there to give me advice regarding my shoes, my garter, my bustle, and my veil. All in all, the staff at Jericho Terrace made our wedding reception a night to remember that my guests are still talking about 2 weeks later.



Favors (The Knot): C
For our favors, we had personalized coasters with a picture of us that I put inside. When we received the coasters, some were chipped, some the writing was printed off center, some had adhesive in the wrong place and had stuck to the coaster behind it. They were a mess. I made sure each one was okay, but there were so many that had issues and it was extremely frustrating.

Hotel Block (Viana Hotel and Spa): A+
The Viana is a beautiful hotel. The rooms are gorgeous and spacious, and the staff is friendly and helpful.

Welcome Baskets for Hotel Guests (My mom): A++++++
My mom worked so hard on the welcome baskets we gave to our hotel guests. They came out great, and our guests really appreciated the attention to detail that my mom had.

Unity Candle and Toasting Flutes/Cake Server (Things Remembered): A-
Things Remembered does beautiful work. They are just a little pricey, and my mom told me that when she got our toasting flutes engraved, the engraving was so light that she had to have them run them through the engraving machine again.



Honeymoon (Capella Pedregal – Cabo San Lucas, Mexico): A++++++
Capella Pedregal is the most amazing hotel we have ever been to. You have your own personal assistant that is there for literally anything you can think of. They made reservations for us, called us taxis, and even brought us a scale to weigh our luggage. Upon check-in, you get a welcome drink, and a welcome bottle of tequila. Because we were on our honeymoon, they also gave us a bottle of champagne.

Our room was beautiful. The bathroom had sofas in it, there was an open shower so you could shower facing out to the ocean, and there was a separate bathtub with bubble bath that smelled amazing. Our balcony had an infinity pool, and we were right on the beach so when we went for a night swim out on our balcony, we were right on the water.

She did 4 bags of chips, 2 sport bottles of water, apples and oranges,, 2 travel toothbrushes, hand sanitizer, and body lotion. Then we topped it with a door hanger.

My husband is from Ridgewood btw - he grew up on Menahan... went to Mirac for a few years and then finished elementary school at Matthias. He went to Archbishop Molloy & played baseball for them.
