Re: Greek Brides??
Deby- we think alike!!! I had the same exact reasoning for not having a bridal party!!!!! I also believe the wedding should be about the couple and the ceremony and I completly agree that the whole bridal party thing can become such a circus!!!! I think it also reduces a lot of stress when it comes to the whole wedding planning thing too!

Re: Greek Brides??
It is becomming more and more common not to have one. Lucky for me, I was the last of my friends to get married and so I did not have a big bridal party. My sister (who was moh) & a few cousins.I had gotten my bm dresses from Avic on Northern Blvd. I just happened to walk in one day and find a dress I loved & the exact color I was looking for....olive green.

Re: Greek Brides??
I liked VIP but he gave me a bit of a run around. I don't want to spend huge sums of cash on a photographer and I don 't need a 70 page album or anything like that.

I don't think anyone asked this ever:Where do/did you live before you got married and where are you /will be living once you get married?
I'm in Flushing/Bayside and looks like a move to Jersey is in the future

I live is Astoria and will probably be moving to the Jamaica area (near St. Johns) so that I would be close to school.

Re: Greek Brides??
I'm not a big fan of change....I was born and raised in Whitestone and my husband & I bought a house in whitestone. (I live 5 blocks away from my parents house )My husband is originally from PA, so he didn't care where we lived. He has grown to love the area and it is very convenient for both of our work commutes. Thankfully, my parents aren't the annoying type, so I didn't mind moving so close to home.
Do you have family in Jersey? My friend is contemplating moving there as well b/c her husband works there and his family is there. The houses are beautiful.

Re: Greek Brides??
FI's parents, one cousin and friend are there - the majority of the family is still in Greece. We just want to be near his parents because his dad is sick.I love whitestone!
And I'm like a 5 minute drive to St. Johns
