On October 10, 2009, my husband and I celebrated our wedding at Bourne Mansion, 500 Montauk Highway, Oakdale, New York. After seeing only several reception halls, we knew upon first sight that Bourne Mansion was a dream location for our reception, and knowing that it was a Lessing’s Catering Facility made our decision an easy one. While planning a wedding is generally an arduous task, the process of planning the reception was made very simple by Steve Melita (General Manager) and Ben Nierenberg (Director of Sales). Both gentlemen were very accommodating and willing to work with us in every aspect, in order to make our wedding unique and incredible. Their expertise helped us to organize an event that our friends and family still refer to as, “the best wedding they have ever been to and the only wedding they will ever see like it again” Most girls dream about their wedding from childhood, envisioning their version of a “Fairytale Wedding.” I, too, dreamed of the day I would say “I Do,” and that day finally arrived this October. My dreams were not only realized, but surpassed, in what was truly a “Fairytale Wedding” at Bourne Mansion. Steve Melita, our Maitre’D for the evening, greeted us as we arrived at Bourne Mansion. From that second on, it felt as though he never left our side. Although he was busy overseeing the entire event, somehow Steve always seemed to be there when I turned around. From making sure that we were hydrated, to making sure the chair was behind me when I sat down, Steve was more than a Maitre’D; he was a Bridal Attendant, Best Man, and Maid of Honor all wrapped into one. During all of the excitement and organized chaos of the wedding, I’ll never forget when I returned to the Ball Room after using the restroom. No sooner did I enter the Ball Room and Steve was at my side with his arm out, waiting to escort me to where my husband was. It may not seem like a big deal, but to never feel alone on your wedding day is worth more than it seems. But, enough about Steve… the Bourne Mansion, Lessing’s, and all of the staff that were involved in our wedding, truly put on a spectacular event. From the lighting, to the food, to the Bridal Attendant, Luz, to the white glove service, words can not describe the evening. When my husband and I came up with the concept of having a Cinderella-themed wedding, we had no idea that having it at Bourne Mansion would take that concept and bring it to a whole new level. Aside from having our wedding at Cinderella’s Castle itself, this was the absolute perfect venue to play out our dream. Although it was a hectic day filled with a lot of emotion and excitement, we will both never forget our wedding at Bourne Mansion, presented by Lessing’s Inc. I often find myself saying that I hope someone we know will have their wedding at Bourne Mansion, so that my husband and I will have the opportunity to be the guest and enjoy the experience on a whole new level.

My husband and I were looking for somewhere special and intimate place to celebrate our wedding. When we visited Smithtown Landing, we knew we found the place that was perfect for us. Even more, was the outstanding service we got from Lisa from the moment we booked right up until our wedding day- and from all the terrific staff who saw to it that all went perfectly on our special day! Thanks Lisa & company! You guys are terrific! Robyn & Dennis

Smithtown Landing Country Club is a beautiful and peaceful venue and we couldn't be happier to have chosen it! Rich and his staff at Smithtown Landing Country Club gave us our dream wedding. We had a vision and they made it happen, impeccably. From the first day we met Rich, we knew he was our guy. He listened to every word we said and was always available to talk through our ideas. He and his staff, especially Joe, the maître'd, and Chris, the chef, made us feel that our day was as special to them as it was to us, both before and during the wedding. We knew from our interactions with them that our day was going to be fantastic, but the actual day surpassed our highest expectations. We had a fusion wedding with all sorts of flavors! I am a Bengali Muslim, my husband a Jewish, Italian American. Our fusion wedding was a first for Rich and his staff, but no spectator would ever guess; from the food to the service, everything was so seamless that one would think they had done it a thousand times before. Both the Indian food and the Italian food was excellent, all our guests agreed that the goat curry was the best they had ever had and the eggplant rollatini, even my meat-loving aunt couldn't stop from requesting seconds. When we go to parties now, friends and family still rave about the sauces and service at Smithtown. The most important thing about the entire staff at Smithtown is their simultaneous concentration on both the big picture and the tiniest details. Joe and our day-of coordinator, Pat, guided us through every step of the day, from making sure the bridal party was fed breakfast and lunch to calming my nerves moments before I walked down the aisle. When my husband and I walked into the reception hall, Joe was there to inconspicuously take my bouquet from me as I walked in so I would not have to re-trace my steps to put it down - it was such a small action, but it still gets me every time when I watch the video - how did he know to do that?! My sister-in-law still remembers that as we were taking our bridesmaids pictures, she was thirsty at one point, turns around, and there was Pat waiting with some cold water. A few minutes later, she needed her bouquet, and again, Pat was there with bouquet in hand. These little details truly show the entire staff's dedication and enthusiasm. All our other vendors also commented on how wonderful and easy it was to work with Rich and his staff. And I knew that as long as they were around, no matter what happened with any other vendor, they would know how to make things ok. To give that type of peace of mind to a bride is no small thing. I would recommend this venue to anyone looking for individualized service and dedication to embracing the day you have always dreamt of and more!
