My cousin confronted my brother and was like 'why is your wife wearing shorts' and he was like 'she lost weight so she wanted to show it of?' ....can't make that stuff up

Wouldn't a nice new short dress do a better job of showing off weight loss? If we were to put her in the correct context of where shorts and t shirts are appropriate she would still look bad!!! I just don't get that! That is a first!

ITA! and she is SIL so she was at the family table. All my friends came up to me after the wedding and was like, 'oh yeah who was the girl in the shorts' at the end of the day she was just an insane bleep on my screen and she ended up looking bad!

I have 2:

My dad gave a very innapropriate and drunken speech during dinner, and then ran over to try to sing a song with the band although I told him he absolutely could not weeks before the wedding. The band wouldn't let him, thank goodness. I was BEYOND mortified but sadly a small part of me expected this exact scene, and I should have said no speech...people were asking me if I was ok after it was finally over...then we fought about it during our dance afterwards...our relationship before this was rocky...now...sigh. I cried about it after the wedding on the shuttle to the hotel (but it was the alcohol too) and it put a huge damper on my day. I don't even want to talk about it or think about it...UGH

My DH's aunt dragged me off the dance floor (literally) because she said DH's grandmother was very upset. I felt like I was a little kid in trouble and had no idea what was going on. I said hello (I had a few times before that though) and went back to the dance floor. It didn't faze me much during, but after, I was like huh???

And I'm sure this happens to everyone...after the wedding I heard rumblings of who was upset with invites and tables and things...what can you do!

That is UNREAL. And the gf's dress kind of looks like a wedding gown. That's crazy.

My stories:

My friend's FH, now DH went outside and passed out on the patio. I later found out he also crawled under the table and fell asleep.

A few of DH's cousins were high

My biggest issue was my ceremony started late and it was kind of long and the church was PACKED so the receiving line took forever and we ende dup with little time for pics. Well why did the receiving line take so long? For one, one of DH's older cousins kept asking me for directions to the RH. I was like 'They were in the invite' 'but can't you just tell me' I kept giving her the 'REALLY!?!?! I'm kinda busy' look but she kept saying 'can't you just tell me?' 'Umm, it's noit like it;'s one or two turns, I can;t just tell you' 'can't you just tell me?' 'Look! There;s the limo driver..go ask him!'

My MIL somehow at some point comandeered the photog and did a whole family photo shoot (like 50 or so pics) or her family. Her sister and BIl, My SIL and her kids, some of them making funny faces, etc. I was like ***!?!? when I saw those pics.

My niece and nephew came to the ceremony and CH but got picked up for the reception since it was late. When DH's cousin's daughter (same age as my niece , 6 at the time) saw my niece leaving she said 'I don't have to leave. I can stay. I'm friends with the bride'

I thought that was SOOOOOOOOO cute!

Have you spoken with either of your brothers after the wedding? And what did you brother say about his GF wearing a white dress?
I'm sorry, butyour SIL looks horrible either way, even if she was just wearing this to be out and about - the outfit doesn't flatter her at all. And if she had really lost a lot of weight, it would make more sense to wear a figure flattering dress than shorts! I can't believe your brother even let her go to your wedding like that!

1 - our photographer fell off a 4' high edge in the middle of our ceremony! he fell during our vows, thankfully on grass and he popped up out of a bush and just kept taking pictures!!

2 - we had a friend's gf catch the bouquet and she didn't realize she had to let someone put the garter on her so she refused SEVERAL TIMES. Her bf made no attempt to catch the garter and then finally she sat in the chair, looked uncomfortable, and only let this guy put it on up to her mid-calf. my guests boo-ed her

I totally forgot until the hubs mentioned this! One of my mom's cousins gave my best man's father a lap dance! It was so awkward bc Dh's family is pretty conservative and that was going on at the table next to them.


And WTH with the sister in law and brother's girlfriend??!!! I wouldve flipped.

#1- In the bridal suite, minutes before the wedding, the officiant who was about to marry us said to me in a concerned tone 'you look tired, how much sleep did you get?' SERIOUSLY?? (it was the night before my wedding, how much do you think I got, bizznotch??) Does anyone want to be told they look tired ever, much less on their wedding day?? I was so pissed!

I then proceeded to pop the entire tranquilizer rather than 1/4 of the pill I had with me as a 'just in case'.


#2- I kept fiddling with my hair and changed it two or three times that day, so looks like I went to three different weddings (to me at least).

I had planned months back to wear a crystal barrette on one side, and asked that the veil be pinned lower on the back of my head. I went to the salon weeks before for a trial run.

I changed my mind about the barrette at the last minute, but didn't have the stylist move the veil up higher, so it fell rather strangely over my hair, and gave it an odd shape. I just wanted to look polished, rather than much like I wear it everyday.

I know so many other (more substantial) things can go awry at a wedding, but at the time they seemed HUGE.

Other than that it was spectacular!

1- a guest was smoking pot during dinner, while sitting down easting dinner. Yes it was my side, yes i knew who it was. REALLY??!!! W T F

2- my cousin made out with a bartender.. AT THE BAR!!!! Yay for my cuz-- but thats super unprofesh!

The biggest annoyance was on of my BM at the end who showed up almost 2 hrs late to the RD...I made it super clear be at my house at 7am because you need to get hair done first. She shows up at 8:30 or a little later, saying her alarm didn't go off. She has an excuse for everything. And guess how far away she lived??? 5 mins down the damn street!

So sorry she gave you problems all the way through to the end. Most future SILs appreciate the sentiment of being made a bridesmaid--I know I would!

My photographer acted like he was a guest at our wedding. I've known this photographer since I was a kid(He used to take my brothers and my xmas pictures) so I get the concept he was happy for me. My DH and I were taking shots with our brothers and friends and my photographer's daughter(our 2nd photographer) was taking pictures. Well my photographer was having such a fun time he decided to get in the picture! I love the picture with him not in it! Luckily he was on the end of the picture so I can crop him out.

CHCC swore to me up and down the they 'never give beer bottles out, they are trashy.' (seriously, Leo's own words.) BS!!!!!!!!!!!! I have pics of my guests with budweiser glass bottles in their hands... asked the maitre'd to tell the bartender to stop giving them out and not pry them out of my poor guests hands since they were enjoying themselves... yet I still have snapshots of my guests with beer bottles that were still being served up the VERY END of the night! AWESOME job Crest Hollow- (who seemed to forget about my request after they received their freakin money!!!!!!!!!!!!)

After our ceremony, we gave out little white bottles to blow bubbles instead of throwing rice and my grandmother doused herself in it thinking it was holy water.

The DJ arranged for my husband to stage dive off a speaker.

People stopped dancing and gathered in small groups to gossip after one of our guests got sick from mixing aspirin (which she knew she was allergic to) with her drink.

We had a cigar roller at our wedding and 1 of our guests (DH side) a very good friend of his got extremely drunk. Went outside to light his cigar and ended up eating a lit cigar. Poor guy had to go home early and couldnt figure out for days why the top of his mouth was bubbled up. smh at least it was a memorable wedding for him.

Anything weird, funny, annoying happen at your wedding?

My ILs snapped at my photographer to be quicker taking photos because they had to get back to the hotel to take the dog out and feed him (yep, they couldn't get someone to watch the dog for their son's wedding). We then missed 85% of our cocktail hour because they were late getting to the reception because of said dog and we had to wait for them to do whole family and bridal party pics.

My SIL brought a date that she hadn't known very long. They caught the bouquet/garter and made a total scene with him giving her a lap dance and them making out on the dance floor. I really could have done without all this since I cannot use ANY of these pictures in my album because one, they are too raunchy and two, he ended up being a crazy stalker who she had to file a restraining order against. That was loads of fun.
