Real World alleged sexual assault

The Real Worls is being filmed in San Diego right now...an there was just a date rape allegation!!! not a cast member but a friend!!! and supposedly it happened in the bathroom - no cameras!!! but they do have the friend on tape sayign 'I just hit that!'

the poor girl woke up not knowing where she was...they are testing her for traces date rape drugs!!!!

Police Confirm Investigation Is Under Way

SAN DIEGO -- San Diego police are investigating a possible sexual assault at the house where participants in the MTV show 'The Real World' are living.



Authorities have confirmed that an investigation is under way that focuses on an incident that took place at the 'Real World' house in Point Loma. The alleged assault occurred Nov.14.

In a statement Tuesday morning, the producers of 'The Real World' said that they are cooperating fully with the police and that none of the cast or crew members were involved in the incident.



In September, one off the 'Real World' participants was arrested outside a Pacific Beach bar and was subsequently charged with misdemeanor assault.

What I want to know is how STUPID does the 'friend' have to be when that entire house INCLUDING the bathroom is filled with CAMERAS?

There seems to be a breeding camp for stupidity as there have been a few released into mass population recently.

I guess they call it real world for a reason. I hope its not true. Oh my

they say no cameras in the bathroom...and thats where it happened!!

but I wonder how often things like this happen in the real world house?? and we just don't hear about it...i only heard b/c its on the local news...

So let me get this straight. This incident DIDN'T involve any of the cast members or crew? So it was 2 people from outside the house that came in?

And, during the Chicago season, there were plenty of cameras available in the showers when more than 1 person was in it!

This show has completely lost it's purpose. Put the nail in the coffin.

I don't know why they're saying the bathrooms don't have cameras. Last I checked, a shower was located in the bathroom and there are always an abundance of shower scenes in RW. I think they added bathroom cameras after RW Miami...

it was a friend or acquaintance of cast member Randy...the guys name is Justin...

the news said there are no cameras in the bathroom...but I guess it doesn't stop cameramen from going in with their cameras?

they also said on the news that the girl woke up naked in the middle of the house...someone had to dress her and the last memory she had was being in the bar

There might not be a camera over the toilet...but there are most certainly cameras in the bathrooms. Dunno where the news is getting their info...or who they think they're fooling! (I've watched entirely TOO many RW episodes.....)


ETA: On a serious note...I hope they resolve this and are able to press charges against the guy if he did indeed rape this girl.

SAN DIEGO (Nov. 25) - Police said Tuesday they are investigating a woman's allegations that she was raped in the oceanfront home where MTV is filming the latest season of its 'Real World' reality program.


The 22-year-old woman, who is not a cast member of the television show, said she believes she was assaulted while unconscious by a man who is also not a 'Real World' cast or crew member.

Police served a search warrant on the house on Nov. 18, seizing footage taped for the show along with bedding, towels and couch cushions.

Footage is recorded from 30 cameras mounted throughout the house in every area except the home's two bathrooms, according to an MTV producer. A 'Real World' cast member told the alleged victim she may have been sexually assaulted in one of the bathrooms, according to court documents.

Neither the police nor production company Bunim-Murray Productions would comment on the content of the videotapes seized by police. The network and production company said they were cooperating fully.

Police had not made any arrests in the case Tuesday.

The woman told investigators she went to a downtown nightclub Nov. 14, where she met a man who was an acquaintance of one of the 'Real World' cast members. The woman told police she consumed a drink offered by the man and then blacked out.

When she awoke the next morning, the woman said, she was fully clothed on a bed in a guest bedroom in the 'Real World.'

The woman had pain in her genital area, and a medical examination performed the next day revealed cuts, according to court documents.

Police said a person whose name was not released said he found the woman lying naked on the bathroom floor, dressed her and moved her to a living room couch. With the help of a female cast member, the person moved the alleged victim to the guest bedroom.

MTV has aired 13 seasons of 'Real World,' which documents the lives of seven strangers living together. 'Real World San Diego' is still in production, according to MTV, and is scheduled to premiere in January.

I am just completely dumbfounded.

Watch for MTV to milk this for ALL it's worth next season.
