It's laying in the bag it came in and the bottom is SO dirty from the Oyster Bay Planting Fields.
Where do I bring it? Any recommendations? Thanks.

Re: On the topic of our dresses
You can probably go to any cleaners to get it done. (thats what i did). It cost me $250 to clean it and preserve.

Re: On the topic of our dresses
I had mine done at my local dry cleaners in Massapequa. He got any stains out for me, cleaned it and boxed it in 2 boxes with my headpiece and veil. It was $150.
The place is called Peter's Cleaners and its on Broadway (about 3 blocks south of the Southern State Parkway) in Massapequa
I do not know if you want to travel that far but I would check with your local (not the pre-pay places) on premise dry cleaners.

Re: On the topic of our dresses
Here's a REAL dumb question!!! My dress is in the same place I threw it off me on my wedding night! I want to get it cleaned BUT, here's the thing we are probably going to renew our vows in Ireland around Christmas time. I want to wear my dress again! (Let's hope it still fits) So if I preserve it will still need to be steamed afterwards right? I definatley don't have the closet space for them to stuff it on a hanger. What to do??

Re: On the topic of our dresses
I preserved mine through wedclean.com. Great customer service and it was only $110 or so. They send you a box and you ship it to them, they e-mail you when they get it, once it is clean, etc. My dress was SOOOOO dirty on the bottom and they got out most of the stains--I couldn't believe it. I left it awhile after our October wedding and the stains still came out. Check them out if you are interested....

Re: On the topic of our dresses
I cleaned & preserved mine too.
I actually had it done for $50 from the place where we rented our tuxedos from. Also in Massapequa on Broadway, VIP Tuxedos.
Tracy - I would think that if you wear your dress again, that it would need to be cleaned & preserved all over again right? I mean, are you having a reception over in Ireland, or just a renewal of vows??

Re: On the topic of our dresses
I had mine cleaned and preserved. It wasn't through Wedclean. I forgot the name. It came back shipped in a box. My bridal salon offered the service.
Be CAREFUL! I heard a nightmare story about dresses being destroyed by stupid careless drycleaners. Go to one that specializes in wedding dresses.

Re: On the topic of our dresses
I'm doing wedclean as well, just shipped them my dress about a week and a half ago and it was $120 for dress, shoes, veil and headpiece to all be done and preserved in a box.
