I don't know if anybody remembers, but I posted awhile back (about 2 mos. ago) that I still didn't have my bedroom furniture (it's at my parent's) and how DH keeps putting it off. Well, he told me yesterday that he's going to get it next Saturday, which happens to be our 6 month anniversary (God, I CANNOT BELIEVE IT'S THAT LONG ALREADY, IT FLEW)!!! Now I won't hold my breath because I have a feeling this is too good to be true. But then again, it might be his guilt over the fact that he just bought new speakers and is getting a DVD and hooked up his receiver (we finally found an entertainment center that would fit in our livingroom, so he can now 'play' with all his 'toys' -- not for nothing but as long as the radio plays and the tv has a picture, I could give a flying fig what brand, what size, etc., but not in a man's world), and I made a comment (several actually) about hos he's more excited over that and I wish he'd get that excited over my furniture! And the fact that when he asked me if I liked it, I just looked at him and said 'I didn't care' and that bothered him. Well pffffttt to you buddy, WHERE IS MY DRESSER???? I CANNOT KEEP WEARING 2 DIFFERENT SOCKS AND THE SAME BRA DAY IN AND DAY OUT BECAUSE I CAN'T FIND ANYTHING IN THAT BLESSED RUBBER MAID!!!!!! I also think he thinks if he gets me the furniture now, I'll let him get this 32' flat-screen tv he's eying -- when pigs fly!!!!!
Keep your fingers crossed and I'll keep you posted! :)

ARGH!
Sometime they are just SOOOO DENSE!
Let him save up for it- and hopefully it will take him MORE than 6 months. (probably will decide to get an even bigger screen at that time!)

HOLD ON TO Y OUR SEATS, THE U-HAUL
WAS BOOKED LAST NIGHT!!!!! I am beyond shocked!! Not for nothing, but I won't believe it until I actually see furniture being put into the truck!!!
Oh and Phyl, he came home with a new speaker last night -- 'it's the center speaker Baby, listen to it' -- who cares???!!! Now we have surround sound plus something else and woofers here and woofers there (what the heck is a woofer anyway??!!!!)!! I think he thinks we live in a club/bar/movie theater! As for a bigger than 32', that isn't happening since the entertainment center only fits up to a 32! Aw, isn't that a pity??
Thanks for all your support and I'll keep you posted on Monday!

The entertainment center...
Hmmm... only holds up to a 32' - sounds like a reason to replace or get rid of the entertainment center and get one of those Mongo-Huge 5 foot screens... forewarned is forearmed - be prepared!!! :-)

The entertainment center...OH NO WAY!!!!
If you only knew of the big dilemma to find one that would fit in the living room, bad enough it took us 6 months to find this one and we only just got it this past Saturday!! Before we ordered this, he had to go across the street to Best Buy to measure the 32' tv's to see if they would fit, so that's why we ended up buying this one! And then when it was delivered, there was another whole fiasco w/his components not fitting. He'll be satisfied with this and that's it, I don't want to hear it anymore!!!
But thanks for the warning anyway! I don't know what it is with guys and electronics! They're like a bunch of babies! He's worse then my 3 yr. old nephew!! LOL :)

6 mo. Anniv & Bedroom Furniture -- LIFE IS
GREAT!!!! Sorry to keep you all in suspense, but I've been out sick all week and I don't have a computer at home!!! But anyway, IT ACTUALLY HAPPENED!!! WHOO HOO!!!!!! I can't believe it, I still look at it and am in shock that it's actually in the room! Granted, the wall didn't grow those extra 6 inches, but I'll deal with it!! I think I got sick because of the shock of it all!! LOL :)
We picked up the U-Haul in the morning and everything went wonderful -- the way it should have gone 6 MONTHS AGO!!!! (Yet again, another example of how he doesn't listen to me when I tell him something, but oh well!!! That's a man for you!!) We only had it for about 2 hours and if it took them (him and 3 others) an hour to do the whole thing, that was a lot. But ask me how long it took me??? I was still putting the room back in order at 9:30 and stopped only because our friends came over and FYI, it's still not all finished because I got sick). But I had to laugh because some time during the course of me putting this mess in order, he goes to lay down because 'he was tired' -- um, excuse me, but what the heck was I???? Men, you gotta love 'em!!!!
And then I've been sick, but I'm the type that wants to be left alone and don't bug me when I'm sick. Not like him, who you have to hold his hand -- ya know, typical male baby syndrome when they're sick. Well, I have to laugh because I ended up cooking on Monday, don't ask me how, I was half-dead, but I felt like I was home when he got home from work and since he's always waiting 2 hours for me to get home, I would have dinner for him early. Nice wife, huh? Now, normally he HAS to come and help me every time I cook, and I get really annoyed, but be careful for what you wish for because that one time I would LOVE for him to come help me, what did he do? He sat on the couch and watched TV!!!! I'm telling ya, I can't win!!!
And then he goes out and buys a DVD player the other night and ended up staying home from work yesterday, NOT TO TAKE CARE OF ME, but to PUT HIS DVD TOGETHER!!!! He had my whole schedule off yesterday and wasn't playing nurse maid either!!!!
Thanks for listening to me vent about my bedroom and for your support!!! I'm SO GLAD IT'S OVER!!!!
P.S. I can't believe it's been 6 months already!! That went so incredibly fast!!!

I think your husband and my husband must be brothers!! LOL! It always amazes me how while I`m at work he`s 'busy' doing things .. but don`t ask me what he`s doing .. I have no idea .. he`s just too busy to do little things around the house. BUT!! When the new TV came, then the new sound system .. forget it .. I can`t tell you how many times he went running out of the house to buy this cable, or that cable, and all the hours he found to get it all going ASAP!
And it`s funny what you said about the illness thing ... he`s sick, he makes it clear in no uncertain terms .. I`m sick .. I get very little extra special treatment ... but the best is when all of a sudden he starts with similar symptoms .. even if it`s just a headache! Hope you`re feeling better!

JennRenee, you crack me up!!!
I'll try to keep you entertained every now and then with my dear hubby's antics!!! He'd kill me, but what he doesn't know, won't hurt him! LOL :)
Plus, he thinks I'm Lucy, from I Love Lucy, which would make him Desi (although with that Sicilian blood of his, he's dark enough) and out of my mind anyway!!!! Nice, huh? Sure makes for some funny conversation!!!! :0

Nice way you talk about your husband
I`m not sure why this needs to be told to you but you should have some respect for your husband. It doesn`t matter if he knows you are talking about him or not. I have read your other messages and you talk about him like he is a moron. Some people here think your husband bashing comments are funny but I think it is sad and says a lot.

Whoa! What's up with your post?
Excuse me newlymarried, but I am highly insulted, upset, hurt and rather annoyed by your post. First of all, not that I have to defend myself or explain myself to you, but I have TOTAL respect for my husband and LOVE him more than anything in this world. There is NOTHING I wouldn't do for him and vice versa. Second, I do not talk about him like he's a moron, nor is he one. You don't know me, so you have no clue how I am -- he knows exactly how I am and how I phrase things when I talk (and so does everyone else who knows me, and they all laugh also). I'm not saying anything about him that's meant in a bad way or a demeaning way. All I was talking about was how he's a typical 'man'. But I don't think I have to sit here and defend myself to you. Do you have a sense of humor? Maybe you should get one because everything I ever posted was supposed to be funny and not a bashing of my hubby. And not for nothing, but there is nothing I wrote that I couldn't tell him about (and I did anyway). And third, who are you to get on your soapbox and tell me what a bad wife I am or whatever?!! I don't think I've ever seen one post from you before this one. How come you decided to post now? How come you didn't post on the days I wrote about it before?
You know, this is one reason why I didn't start posting until after I got married. Because there's always going to be that one person who misunderstands what somebody else is posting about and then a big brouhaha starts. I don't want that to start, I really don't, but these boards are for helping each other or venting or whatever, not for bashing. Everyone is entitled to their own opinions and we should all RESPECT each other's opinions. So, I decided to vent about my furniture situation. Shoot me, I'm the BAD BAD WIFE -- NOT!!!! I don't know why everyone else thought it was funny and sympathized with me, but you think I'm the worst wife in the world. Again, I'm not going to apologize for my posts, but I am sorry that you don't have enough of a sense of humor to enjoy them!!
Enjoy your day.

Newlymarried...
Whoa there stranger! I guess since I've never seen your name on this board before that you don't know bearsbabe very well. I can tell that that her LOVE and RESPECT for her husband is very clear, even through her light hearted teasing. She's been recounting a very annoying and frustrating situation in her marriage with humor, and I am glad she can vent here. I bet it helps her, as it helps me to have a sounding board of others who may or not be in the same boat.
Chill out!

Thanks JennRenee!!!!!
I appreciate your support!!! I did a search and that seems to be the one and only post newlymarried wrote!!
And if you're reading this newlymarried, I went home and told my husband what you wrote and how you think I don't respect him, blah, blah, blah and he cracked up!!!
