What kind of centerpiece for OVAL tables?

Hello-
If your hall has oval tables, what kind of centerpiece arrangement are you using (or did you use?)

If you can, please post pix.
If no pix, could you please describe?

I'm looking for simple ideas, probably low centerpieces, maybe incorporating some pillar candles.

Did you use a more oblong shape because of the oval table?

I had oval-ish tables and we did low CPs in an urn.

I have oval tables and am doing 4 different scenarios:

-a bunch of pillar candles doing the center of the table, sitting on a bed of petals
-some high ones in a tall candelabra
-some low ones in a square vase flanked with pillar candles-
-some that are a series of cylinder vases in different heights

We did long and low CPs...

Had Oval tables, our centerpieces were low, they were square vases filled with different color pink roses placed on a mirror with little gem stones in our wedding colors.

We have oval tables- and we are doing high candleobra CP's

The first pic is from our hall (monkeybride's pics) from when she got married there and the 2nd and 3rd pics are my sample CP that we are having on our tables in August.

We are doing 'long & lows'...I have a pic that I can post when I get to FH's later.....it is of the sample that they made up for us. There are a bunch of different kinds of flowers in a range of pink hues with a pillar candle in the middle. Then because my bouquet is going to have ivy coming out of it, we are going to have ivy coming out the ends of the cp to extend it a little and really carry through. (We have a mini theme of Cinderella and on the tables will be these...


so the ivy running around is also an homage to the punpkin coach)

I am doing three cylinder cases with orchids inside them under water and bear grass swirled around possibly with a floating candle on top. And votives around them.

Thanks! Here is a pick of what it will sort of look like. The grass will be more of a spiral, though.
