Simple Floral Centerpieces

Anyone have pictures? I don't have a big budget for centerpieces so it has to be simple but elegant. I want flowers definitely.

I was thinking a bubble bowl or bud vase of pink & cream roses.

I plan on discussing it with my florist but I would love some ideas to bring along with me.

Thanks!

Re: Simple Floral Centerpieces

Our florist gave us a very reasonable idea of using small Azalea trees (with a braided trunk). They come in great colors, are a bit high so they don't interfere with talking across tables, and even better...they're like $30/each!

Re: Simple Floral Centerpieces

I am having a wreath of flowers with candles in the center. they aren't too expensive. I know it's not the colors you are looking for, but maybe this will help!

Re: Simple Floral Centerpieces

I used these vases, bought them from Ikea for $2. If you buy the vases on your own, you will save money that way also.

I had tulips, but I think they are out of season when you get married.

Sounds like a great idea. Do you have a picture? I'd like to see what it would look like? Which florist suggested it?

Did you do your own flowers too? Or a florist?

Re: Simple Floral Centerpieces

No pic of the azalea tree centerpieces yet...sorry :(

If I get one, i'll pass on. One of our good friends used them as centerpieces for their wedding, they looked nice, simple, but elegant. And..what's better, the bride still gets people telling her they think of them when they see the azalea tree that is now planted in their yard! :)

I'm using a friend's father (who's a florist), he's definitely not a wedding specialist, but he's cheap and has a good eye. He's in Elmont, anyone who wants more info FM me.

I used a florist. Just supplied the vases.

ETA: I used Flowers by Freyhammer in Lynbrook, my local florist. I may have quotes from other florists for different flowers if you are interested.
