Low centerpieces for long oval tables?

Any pics?
Did anyone make runners for their tables?
I want to include my viotive placecards on the table, would low centerpieces work?

I had 3 square CP's (one large in the center and two small at each side) pictures in my review. Happy planning!

ETA: I had votives on the tables as well (the tables were oblong) and they looked beautiful! Pictures in bio!

oohh.. I looove that centerpiece! what a great idea...i am going to call my hall and find out what type of tables I have....

This was my centerpiece (the picture was taken the day after my wedding on my dining room table).
The tables at the PJCC where I had my reception are oval and long and the centerpiece went great with it!
