engagement party locations...
my fiance and i have planning to have an engagement party this february. unfortunately, none of our family's homes are large enough to accomodate the amt of people (about 100) and since its winter, we can't have a backyard barbeque!! does anyone have suggestions for a nice, yet relatively inexpensive place to hold an engagement party? we're thinking of a brunch or maybe a late-evening party. any suggestions would be appreciated. thanks!

Here are some ideas: Rent a VFW hall or KFC hall. The KFC in Babylon Village is nice. My friend had her engagement party there and her daughter's 1st birthday party. Irish Coffee Pub (might be expensive though, not sure) Watermill in Smithtown Captian Bills (Sayville ?) Three Village Inn or Country House in Pt. Jefferson I think the best and least expensive is to rent the hall and hire 2 waitresses. Then cook some of the food yourselves and bring in some. That is what we are doing. We rented my condo's clubhouse. We are going to bring our own CD player and make CDs instead of hiring a DJ.

Try Papa Joe's in Deer Park. I believe they are a Vendor on here and the food is great. Check them out. I also heard Papa-Razzi in Westbury is good. Good Luck.

Where are you looking? My fiance and I had our engagement party at Carosello's on Cross Bay Blvd in Queens. We had about 90 people for dinner - the food and service were great and we all had a good time.

you could also try Danfords on the Water in Port Jeff. My FH and I had our son's Chrsitening there in April. We had about 120 people for a brunch and used their house dj. The food was excellent. We still get compliments.Welcome New Vendors
