Has anyone used Stop and Shop's home delivery service for groceries?

I was wondering if anyone has any feedback because JT and I had no time to go food shopping today and I left him in the middle of no where with no food, no car and nothing around for him to get to I feel bad.

I haven't because it's not available in my area yet, but I have a friend who SWEARS she will never set foot in a supermarket again because it'sso convenient and she loves it so much.

I am eagerly awaiting the opportunity to test it out!

Re: Has anyone used Stop and Shop's home delivery service for groceries?

Ok, I just checked out the website and OMG! IT'S AWESOME! You see the prices right there in front of you with a picture and all the nutritional info. It's SOOOO cool! JT's making me a list right now and we're going to try it. I'll let everyone know how it goes! The only bad thing is that you need to order it a day in advance and give them a two hour window to come. But that's fine because they come as early as 6am and as late as 10pm, so it should work out. I'm so excited! (I'm also such a dork! )

i've never used stop and shop, but i used a service in dc and i loved it! it was so convenient and also nice b/c i lived in sort of a bad area and hated to go out alone. plus they always picked out great fruit and veggies for me. if you're busy it's a nice timesaver.

Re: Has anyone used Stop and Shop's home delivery service for groceries?

You can use coupons and you definitely can buy meats and perishables. You can even purchase fresh cold cuts from the deli. Maybe it depends on what store you shop from. When you put in the zip code it brings you to the store in that town.

Re: Has anyone used Stop and Shop's home delivery service for groceries?

If you spend 75 bucks or more it's 4.95, if you spend less than 75 it's 9.95. For us it's convenient because JT is in MA with no car and NO supermarkets even close. He'll just shop for two weeks worth of food so that he doesn't incur the extra shipping charge.

Now that would be like having a REAL personal shopper! I wouldn't mind that!

Re: Has anyone used Stop and Shop's home delivery service for groceries?

I have used it quite a few times and it was awesome. I didn't order meat (because I use a butcher) but i did order vegetables and fruit and they were all fresh and non bruised.

The only drawback that I found was that you have to know exactly what you want and sometimes I just need to look at whats on the shelves to be sure : ).
