How many girls had/ will have a viennese table?
Aside from price - which is the obvious reason - why did you make your decision?

Re: How many girls had a viennese table?
From what I hear, my hall offers a TON of food so I figured the money and dessert would go to waste. Also, my hall offers cake, ice cream and platters of cream puffs and canolis which I felt was more than enough.

Re: How many girls had a viennese table?
My hall threw it in for me. You can get yours too. If I had to pay extra I wasn't going to have it. wedding's have too much food anyway. Cake is more then enough.. I'm usually full after the cocktail hour..

Re: How many girls had/ will have a viennese table?
I think there is an additional desert choice on my menu, but I don't think it's necessary, so I've asked them to either give us ice cream with the cake or a tray of cookies for each table.

Re: How many girls had/ will have a viennese table?
We were going to do the Viennese table, but our catering manager advised us to skip it and do the chocolate fountain instead. He said that there would be plenty of desserts on the table, as well as the wedding cake, but the chocolate fountain would really wow them.He was so right!!!! Our guests got excited like little children when they saw that!

Re: How many girls had/ will have a viennese table?
We are getting it because my family loves cocktail hour and viennese hour so I got it for them. I also heard that the chocolate is so good for the fondue. Right Withthisring

Re: How many girls had/ will have a viennese table?
My hall puts cookies, pastry and fruit on the tables, so I thought this might be a little too much.

Re: How many girls had/ will have a viennese table?
My sister in law did. It was really lovely. Her main focus on her wedding was making sure everyone had tons of good food, she cared more about that than anything...I think that's why she chose it.We didn't choose it b/c we were having a daytime wedding and our hall offered lots of dessert anyway (cake, creme brulee, truffles, choc. covered strawberries). If they didn't offer anything other than cake I would have considered it.

Re: How many girls had/ will have a viennese table?
I'm just having trays of Italian pastries and cookies be brought at each table. I figured I am the biggest dessert lover ever, but I probably won't get a chance to eat any, and most people will probably be full anyway. If I had not gotten the shrimp display for cocktail hour which gives everyone unlimited shrimp for the hour, I probably would have done the viennese. But I REALLY wanted shrimp for the cocktail hour. Who doesn't love shrimp?

Re: How many girls had/ will have a viennese table?
We are doing dessert trays. Our Banquet Manager suggested that we NOT have a Viennese Hour because our wedding is on a Sunday night and adding an hour would be too much. She also mentioned that a lot of it goes to waste because people are so stuffed.

Re: How many girls had/ will have a viennese table?
Our Vienesse will actually be served at dessert time. We are not adding any extra tiime. They are going to roll the tables in to the reception room and when the crowd dies down they will take it out.
ETA: It was FREE too. How could we pass up something free?

Re: How many girls had/ will have a viennese table?
We're having a viennese table. Both of us are real junk food junkies and whenever we go to other peoples weddings that is what we look forward to. It such a such a nice feeling to be overwhelmed by tables and tables of sweets. Just like a little kid in a candy store.Welcome New Vendors
