Alterations for gowns purchased through NetBride or other sites...
Someone quoted me $130+ per gown. I don't know if that is good, bad. Personally I think its way too high. That cost is about as much as one of the dresses! If this is the price range for alterations for BM dresses by a seamstress, then I rather just order the dresses through a bridal salon. I think I am right though. Why would many of you girls use NetBride and still save your girls $$.Could you please give me an average of what your BMs paid for alterations of gowns purchased through NetBride or other websites and who they used. If you do no want to share please forum mail me.
Thank You.

David's charges 45 for a hem only, I have also heard quotes of around $60, but not 130

Im in a wedding in September and had to get my dress altered. This seamstress charged me $50 for both hem and alterations. Let me know if you want her number. She does it from home.

I think my sisters for a hem and the top to be taken in was like $45 tops--I don't think it would be $130. My girls saved $110 dollars on the dress plus they didn't pay tax and the bridal salons always seem to meet the cap+, byt not including cups and stuff so even if the alterations cost 100 it is still cheaper.

One of my BM took her dress to the same seamstress I took mine too. I had a lot of problems, but my BM had NONE. The dress came out wonderfully. It was not hemmed, but it was taken in the complete length of the dress and she had cups put in for $25. I think they said if she needed the hem, it would have been $50 total.Welcome New Vendors
