I finally started Harry Potter! (Finished it!)

Hi girls,

I finally started Harry Potter! So far I really like it a lot. I'm up to the part where they are chosen for their 'houses' by the hat.

The only thing I'm a little disappointed in is that I keep picturing scenes from the movie, and I picture the characters as the actors in the movie. Drats!!! I wish I read the books before I saw the movies! I feel like my imagination is stunted now! LOL...

I finished it!!! It was a lot of fun!! I'm going to start the Chamber of Secrets soon. I want to read them all now, without interruption. I think the book was better than the movie.

Same here...loved the books so much better than the movies. But, I find in most cases I like the books better than the movie versions.

I read the first 4 books before I saw the movies...I actually didn't want to see the movies because I'm almost always dissapointed with the movie if I've read the book, but for a change, I wasn't!

I love the Harry Potter books. I read a few of them before the movie and the kids are pretty much exactly what how I pictured them, except for Malfoy, so don't let that worry you
