bride and groom chairs at wedding
I was reading a post that reminded me - I don't care for those big wicker chairs...I would rather a normal chair and have tulle over it and tied with a big bow or something to that effect. Did anyone have chairs like that or do chairs like that for their wedding? If so do you have any pics I can look at for ideas? Thanks!

I don't know about decorating normal chairs, but I know that our hall offers the option of high-back, throne style chairs instead of the wicker ones (I didn't like them either)

We sat on the same chairs as our guests. Everyone had ivory chair covers with bows. Sorry, no pics scanned.

I think our hall has the big wicker ones. But I am cheesy and like them. But I doubt we'll actually get to sit in them too much.

Re: bride and groom chairs at wedding
yeah, i really don't like the wicker ones, and with everything that I need to be concerned with for the wedding, believe it or not, this is an important one. I know that we are going to have pictures taken at our table, and i don't want the chairs to look like something out of the 80's. I wonder if Giorgio's has a few different types of chairs for us to choose from.

I loathe the wicker ones. They remind me of Mortica Adams. why can't halls get rid of those chairs and as you said, just make the head chairs a little different. Or if they want the height affect put the head table on a platfor so everyone can see.

Yes I don't want our pictures to be taken with the big wicker 80's chairs in the background either. I think I'll buy tulle and a some twine and wrap the tulle around the chairs and then cover the twine with a big ribbon/bow.Thanks girls!!

I agree the Tulle sounds nice. I'm going to have to confirm what we are getting now. I'm afraid that wicker might snag my dress.....Welcome New Vendors
