Ortho Tri Cyclen Question?? For those that used it or are using it..

I didn't know where to post this so here goes. I have been taking it for about three years. About three months ago, I started throwing up bile every morning and have been since then. I was scared, thought I had cancer or something so I didn't call the doctor or tell FH. Well, today I was talking to some girls at school and this girl was saying how she took Ortho Tri Cyclen, and she was throwing up bile every morning and she went to the doctor and they said it was from the pill. Did this happen to anyone else who took this or is taking this?

Well, after hearing her, I called today to make an appointment with the GYN. I am just curious if this has happened to anyone else. Thank you!!

OK.. i am also on OTC (for about a year and a half now) and I have never experienced this side effect. I think it would be strange for the pill to 'all of a sudden' cause this type of reaction. Are you taking any other new meds that may be causing a reaction?

PLEASE go see the doc, just to be safe. Le us know how it goes!!!!!

I'm taking it too & never had a reaction like that. I'm sure everything is fine but going to the dr. is a good move.

i've been on OTC for years and never had that type of reaction. not sure what it could be. definitely go see the doc!!!

never had that or any other reaction. I agree its weird it would happen out of nowhere afte being on it a while. Good luck at the drs.

never happened to me .

well, actually, one time i took the pill early in morning and then threw up 10 minutes or something later. i thought it was bc it was on an empty stomach so now i take it in afternoon or evening.

sometimes these reactions can come even after years of taking it and being fine.

Happened to me...as well as really bad cyst-like zits. Ugh, I abhored that pill - I have since switched to Demulen, then the generic, and come next week I'm trying Yasmin. I'm a pill hopper!

That actually has happened to me a number of times on Ortho. I never was able to figure out why it happened. It seemed to be when I woke up really early (especially if I then had to drive somewhere) or if I took two pills together. But luckily, it has not happened in a long time.

That happens to me a lot, almost every morning. I never could figure out what it was, i actually was blaming the toothpast I was using. Thanks for the info I am going to talk to my doctor.

It has never happened to me but I switch brands of BCPs every year or so - perhaps I haven't been on it long enough.

It happened to me a few times...but I think it was from doubling up...2 other women I know have experienced it as well...but not everyday...
