Hi! New Future Bride Here!

Hi everyone!

This is my first official post, but this forum has been my second home for the past few months now.

I have to say that this forum and all of you ladies are Absolutely Terrific! I have gotten such great advice and ideas thanks to all of you! I thought that I should stop lurking and finally say hello!

A bit about me – my FH and I got engaged this past May (finally!), but our wedding isn’t until 9/04. (It seems sooo far away.) So far we booked our hall (Riviera), I got my dress (Kleinfeld’s trunk show sample – got it for half price – woo-hoo!), and ordered my veil, earrings and tiara (which I spent way too much on unfortunately

). We’re working on the band now. (Thank you to Shawl and Mindy0247 for your kind advice!)

And now, my first question to all of you: Is anyone else going through “dress withdrawal?” As I mentioned above, I got my dress at a sample sale, (it was one of the samples from a trunk show) so I had to bring it home with me. (I actually had to keep it in FH’s closet b/c it was the only closet in the house where my dress didn’t lay on the floor!) This past weekend I brought my dress to Karin Y who will do the alterations and will store it for me until the wedding. (I found Karin thanks to these boards! She is wonderful!) I didn’t realize how much I looked at my dress while it was home until now. I Miss It So Much!! But, on a happy note, FH is very glad that his “closet ban” is now over.

Thanks again for this fantastic forum! I will definitely continue my wedding planning research on here and will try not to be such a stranger!

Thank you all for your warm welcome and congratulations! It is so comforting to have a place to go where other brides are going through the same thing! (choosing vendors, dress withdrawal, the list goes on and on!!) I love this forum!

congratulations! time is going to fly! i miss my dress too, now i am having dress doubt, it has been so long since i've seen it,(may) that i am not sure i will like it anymore once it arrives...but i'm sure its just jitters. good luck with everything!

Oh, I had total 'dress withdrowals'! Every time I went to Karen Y for a fitting was like a big holiday for me! It ment I get to visit my dress!:EMO19
I still miss those fittings, believe it or not, even though i have been married for 5 months!
