Re: Best Friend or Little sister? Or BOTH

I'm having my sister as my MOH and I was hers.... My best friend is a BM and will be right beside my sister, but she will walk out prior. If you and your sister are close having her as MOH will make it a very special day for both of you!!!

However, you are the bride and should do whatever will make you most happy!!!

Re: Best Friend or Little sister? Or BOTH

My sister is my MOH and she is 17. I also asked my best friend to be my MOH. I can honestly say that it was one of the best decisions regarding my bridal party that I have made.

Unless you are very close with your sister and she is very responsible, I think you should have two maids of honor.

My sister is my MOH and she is only 17....why do you want 2 MOH? It is possible...I have heard it being done before.

Re: Best Friend or Little sister? Or BOTH

Both my sister and my best friend at the time were my maids of honor. During the processional the best man stood up at the altar with my DH and each MOH walked in solo.
For the recessional the best man had one on each arm.

It's been done many times and I don't think it's tacky at all.

Re: Best Friend or Little sister? Or BOTH

My cousin just did that - she had her older sister be the koubara (does some ceremonies in the Greek Orthodox wedding ceremony) and had her sister and best friend as MOH. So 2 is nothing
