ok so after i wrote this i was asking my family if i should be inviting the officiant and they said i should send them an invite...so i guess i will.

I think it depends on if it is someone that you know or someone that you just hired for this one time.

It depends who it is. I know the person I am using charges if we want her to stay for the RECEPTION.

I didn't think of this before... we may invite her to the reception as a guest, and pay for her services at the ceremony.
