booooooo
So today i was at my FILs house upstate and a huge tree branch fell down through my back windshield, shattering it, and also making a dent in the roof.......Happy thanksgiving!!
I don't have collision insurance....but I was wondering if anyone knows whether home insurance would cover it, since it was in FILs driveway. Also, would this hike up their insurance premiums the way they do with car insurance?
TIA~~~

Re: booooooo
their home owners insurance might cover it but it will most likely cause an increase in their premium. Home owners insurance can be worse than car insurance with raising rates.

Re: booooooo
Sorry hun, that stinks!
As for their homeowners insurance it will definitely raise their premium. I would discuss it with the FILs and see what they say.

Re: booooooo
Would collision even cover this? I thought if you have insurance you'd be able to get everything fixed, you just might have to pay a deductible?I know most times you can get your windows replaced?
I'm pretty sure homeowners insurance would not cover this.

call your insurance company and tell them what happened. they will be able to let you know what is covered and at the very least, you can get windows replaced. what is your deductible??Welcome New Vendors
