Re: Oheka Brides!!!
congrats, muimui! =Di definitely recommend the unionn, which is the band i'm booking for my wedding at oheka too. i've been a fan of their's since college, when i used to watch them play at the cafe wha in manhattan.
the unionn plays everything from rock to reggae to r&b, and have performed with celebrity artists like john mayer.
if you ever want to hear them perform live, they continue to perform at the village underground in manhattan on weds and fris.
check out these sites for more info:

good luck!

I'm not getting married at Oheka, but I would definitely recommend Hank Lane. They have over 20 bands and an amazing reputation.Good luck!!

Re: Oheka Brides!!!
Check out Vali Entertainment, located in the city. They have about four different bands and can go all the way up to 60 pieces! I'm not sure if its on their website anymore, but they had a clip of when they were performing at Oheka. HTH!

Re: Oheka Brides!!!
It totally depends on the band. Mine came out to roughly $1,250 a piece.

Re: Oheka Brides!!!
Try Franklin Wayne Bands... they are also a preferred vendor of Oheka = you don't have to pay to feed them :)I liked Heart and Soul and Timepiece!

Re: Oheka Brides!!!
Great band-Body Heat- but they play mostly older music and their best genre is Mowtown ! 9 piece band- great vocalists

Re: Oheka Brides!!!
I just interview one band in city. They asking $7000 for 7 piece band for reception, string trio for ceremony and cocktail hour. Reasonable? We like them, but want to interview few more just to compare.

I believe the showcase is in Midtown Manhattan, walking distance from Penn. I know that's where they usually have them.
Thanks for the congrats...I can't believe that the wedding is so close
It is at a private house on the south shore we rented, something different but it should be a blast! Welcome New Vendors
