How long did it take you to....
find your wedding dress? I've looked at a couple of places and tried on a bunch of dresses and am getting discouraged
anyone with suggestions of dresses you love (I'm particularly interested in mermaid and ballgown) - I would be so grateful!!

I found it the first day...but I wanted to suggest...there was a beautiful mermaid dress in the window of a bridal store in merrick on merrick rd towards freeport..no idea the name of the store,..but it was a small place on the corner. Had I not had a dress already I would have pulled over immediatly and tried the mermaid in the window on!!!Goodluck

I went to about 5 stores. Check out sophiatolli.com she has beautiful ballgowns imo. I tried on one at lilettes and then a lot more at village bridal.

It took me several months...I ordered a Lazaro dress LOVE it! I love a lot of his dresses and jim hjelm, alavina velenta (all affiliated)

I only went to two stores before I fell in love with my dress... Did u go to Bridal reflections in Carle place?

I found mine on my day of serious dress shopping. I had tried on dresses for fun randomly but hadn't found anything.

i went to 3 places. the first place i wasnt seriously looking...more to try on styles to see what suits me.in total i tried on about 8 dresses at the first store....maybe 5-6 dresses at the 2nd place and about 9 dresses at the 3rd and final place

It took me a few weeks after going to 3 stores. I actually really loved a dress from the first place I went to, but wanted to look around before I decided. I'm sooo glad I did b/c it was the last dress at the 3rd place I went to that I loved. You should check out Bridal Breflections in Massapequa. Good luck!!!

I found my dress at the third store, but was definitely discouraged after the first two stores I went too.I also wanted a ballgown - both Kenneth Pool & Priscilla make beautiful ones, so you might want to check them out if you haven't already.

It took me about 6 months to find my dress. I wasnt going looking every weekend...I would take some time off in between...But I tried on over 100 dresses and I didnt like anything. I found my at Valentina Bridal in Brooklyn...they will make you a customized dress if you dont like anything

Thank you so much for your help! I've been to Lillette's, Bridal Reflections of Mass., and POB. I've seen so many beautiful dresses but am still not sure. There was one at Lillette's that I loved, but it was the first place I went to and want to check out other salons before I commit.
I will definitely look at your suggestions, keep them coming!!

One day I went to two stores in one day and picked one the next day.Definitely check out Lillette's, and ask for Gerri
ETA: I forgot to mention though that I must've tried on around 20-30 gowns.

i went to david's bridal, iman couture, bridal reflections, and finally kleinfeld's....a total of about 25 dresses and 2 days of shopping. however, i really never had an intention of buying a dress before i went to kleinfeld's so i'm not even sure all of that shopping even counts. but it's totally different for everyone and i definitely wouldn't worry!! you'll find the perfect dress watch say yes to the dress!! there's LOTS of inspiration!!
