' I hate this dress'

Ok so the post was long so I edited it.....leave it at this, I am one week from my wedding, last fitting (well I was supposed to be picking up but they didnt get it right) tonight and I am having a 'I hate this dress moment', 'what made me choose this' 'I look fat'.......ugg.

Just asking for reassurance that Im not alone.

I'm crashing, but I definitely felt this way about my dress after I ordered it. Didn't try it on yet since, but I just wanted to say that I am sure that they will get it perfect and you will look gorgeous!

It's positively radiant, unique, beautiful, and bridal, and you haven't any reason in the world to worry about it. When you FH sees you walking towards him on your wedding day, he will be looking at the woman he loves, looking her most beautiful. You need to have some confidence in yourself. You couldn't look fat, even if you wore a friggin toga, so don't be ridiculous.

Stop focusing on this crazy need to make changes so close to the wedding. It sounds like you're just nervous and have a perfectionist personality so you're looking for every reason to second guess things.

You're not alone. Everyone wonders if they've made the right decisions. Just try to be healthy about it. YOU CAN DO IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thank you guys....Yes it is still the dress. I dont know what happened to me , Im a wreck! I had no problem making choices when the planning began. I was nice and rational. I planned like a pro. Now Im second guessing everything.

Believe me it helps a lot to vent here b/c my friends/family would think Im nuts at this point.

Good thing Im only a week away.....I need a vacation.LOL.

if that pic is still your dress, you have nothing to worry about.

My opinion is the last couple of weeks before wedding is the most stressful and maybe it's showing on your face (no offense) and without the right make up, a dress can 'wash' you out. PLUS, it was just TG so you might be bloated form salt...

I am sure that day when all of the elements are together, you will look great!

In the meantime, relax and drink lots of water

When I first saw your post I was worried about what your dress looked like but now that Sandra posted it I see you have NOTHING TO WORRY ABOUT. It is a beautiful dress and it looks fantastic on you and trust me I'm not just saying that!! I'm sure you're going through a range of emotions right now with the wedding being SO close, but try not to stress about the dress. You made a great choice and I can't wait to see your wedding pics with you all dolled up in this dress!!!

oh don't worry - I think so many of us go through this. that dress is gorgeous and looks amazing on you. . I totally empathize though. . I hated my dress until my last fitting. and thought I needed something 'more' something. . but on the day of i LOVED LOVED LOVED it. . so no worries you will be RADIANT AND FABULOUS!

I think you look absolutly AMAZING in your dress. I saw that pic sandra posted and just said 'wow'. It is very unique and fits you SO well.

Just wait...you will be so ridiculously caught up in the moment the day of and your first thoughts of how your dh will react seeing you in your dress that you will be super overwhelmed with 'I love this dress and want to LIVE IN IT!'

i was a nut a few weeks before my wedding thinking I was going to look fat, etc.etc. On the day of, I felt fantastic. It is so normal, sadly, to go through this!!! YOU WILL LOOK GREAT I PROMISE!!!!!!!!

I didn't even utter the words 'I love my dress' until my last fitting (when I picked up my dress), which was 3 days before my wedding day.

I didn't really get THAT feeling that it was THE dress until THE DAY OF my wedding. Now I can officially say how much I LOVED my dress.

I think for some people it takes a little while. It takes until it's perfect for you to really love it. It will happen. Don't let this bring you down and try not to think like this. I KNOW it's hard.... but in the end you will love that dress. It's gorgeous!!!

Thanks all sooo much. I have calmed down a bit. LOL. Really I haven't stressed the whole w/e.....just kinda let it go. I will finally see the end result of this last fitting Wednesday. Ill let you all know how it ends up.
