Re: vegetarians Xpost from 2010

Do you have any vegans coming? If so, they can't have the lasagna or the torte so the grilled veggies are your only option. I'd say either the lasagna or the grilled veggies b/c not eveyone eats mushrooms...I know I don't

My sis has been a vegan for 10 years so my RH is making a special dish for her...not necessarily the one on the menu...they're just going to make one dish for her. Maybe yours could do the same if you have vegans.

Re: vegetarians Xpost from 2010

I would choose the mushrooms only because I love them, not everyone does so you might be better off with the grilled veggies.

went to a wedding at your place and they offered the veg lasagna . even people who arent vegetarians ordered it. my friend had it and she liked it.
it sounds more filling than the others to me

Re: vegetarians Xpost from 2010

As a former vegetarian, I hated being stuck with just a plate of vegetables. I personally would have liked the torte because it's different. If you do have vegans at the wedding, your venue is most likely to cater to their needs and will make something else for them.

Re: vegetarians Xpost from 2010

FH and I are both vegetarians and our wedding will be largely vegetarian as well.

Personally, I really liked the sound of the mushroom torte. Vegetarians always have the same options of pastas and lasagnas, so I like things that are different. Definitly DON'T do the plate of vegetables. Not filling at all and insulting to vegetarians...
