How to have a great wedding day hair!

I wanted to recommend a great treatment for having the most perfectly straight hair. It is called thermal reconditioning. It is a Japanese technique that permanently straightens your hair without damaging it. In fact, it actually improves your hair's condition; it will be shinier and softer.

It is for people who want straight hair but are tired of blowing it or using a straightening iron. I got the treatment in January and never need to do either one. My hair never frizzes or curls with the humidity. It saves me about 30 minutes each day!

I just wanted you all to know if you are concerned about having a bad hair day on The DAY! But beware: it takes about 6 hours to do and can cost up to $1,000. However, there are some cheaper places that I know of if you are interested. Oh...it also can hold curls if you want to!

Let me know if you have any questions. I am such a fan that I want to proselytize everyone!

Re: How to have a great wedding day hair!

Permanitly I dont know if I could handle that.

I have naturally curly hair and I LOVE my curls. Recently I started to straighten my hair and like the way it looks, but I dont think I could ever do it permantly.

Besides FI loves my hair curly.

Thanks for posting about this

Re: How to have a great wedding day hair!

Where did you have it done? HOw much did it cost? Are you able to put it in an updo afterwards? Did you ever have color in your hair and what did they use? Thanks. I am seriously considering it but i was thinking of waiting till after the wedding. Do you have before and after pics?

Re: How to have a great wedding day hair!

With the Japanese Straighting You cannot put your hair in a pony tail, tuck it behind your ear, or use a head band for at least 5 days. You cannot wash your hair or get it wet for 3 days. This way it will set.

It is permanent but, if you have curly hair from the root you will have to touch it up more often (6months or so). If your hair has a strong wave or is just very frizzy your hair will have amazing results!

I work in a hair salon, I have seen some amazing results from the straightening. If your hair has a lot of layers it won't look as good as someone who has one length hair (layered hair can look vey choppy straight) . Depending on the amount of hair the whole process takes at max 5 hours. Thats including cut and blow out after. Honestly I don't think that everyone is a good candidate for it but it does work and the results are Great! The price ranges from 450 and up (higher on Sat.)

Edit for: Chemically treated hair single process color it works fine on. Highlighted/bleached hair be careful. Some salons claim to use 'Japanese Straightening' some products are knockoffs and do damage the hair more than the orignal product would.

Re: How to have a great wedding day hair!

Be careful with this procedure girls...especially if you have had any chemical treatments before. It can alter your hair texture and further damage the hair! Although I have to say, most people I know that had this procedure are pretty happy with it. Make certain if you get it done that it is with someone who you trust.
