Venues

Does anyone know a venue that is similar to Old Field club, but just a little larger? They said max is 175 comfortably, and I am afraid we may need a bit more than that.
Thanks!

Re: Venues

Maybe look into Milleridge Cottage. They can hold a large number of people and certain areas of it reminded me of OFC (i.e. ceremony/cocktail hour room). The only thing is MC is not on the water.

Re: Venues

How about venues not on the water but still very private with lots of woods/trees? I want an outdoor ceremony but no gazebos! (we will have a chuppah)

Re: Venues

I feel in love with Old Field Club. Unfortunately, I couldn't meet their minimum.

You should look at Douglaston Manor. I found it a bit similar to OFC. High ceilings, nice window design and no carpeting are hugely important factors for me!

For someting more 'woodsy' try Smithtown Landing Country Club. I think the ceremony is held outside on a deck overlooking the river and is surrounded by trees. There is a nice weeping willow there as well. 'Very green' is what comes to mind when I see pics of that place.
