Re: Any other Destination Brides? *Past, Present, Future*
Actually i was supposed to be getting married on Oct 17th of this year in Cancun Mexico, however the swine flu put a stop to that b/c family members were scared to travel. We had booked the trip and everything. Then i had alot of ppl complaining that they wouldn't make the destination wedding so we decided to do it here. I wish i wouldve stuck with my original plan

Sandals Grande Antigua. It was so beautiful there The room we stayed in was spectactular, the food was great, and the grounds were beautiful. It would be perfect for a destination wedding.

I had a bunch of ppl tell me they werent willing to travel...as long as our parents, siblings & grand parents were willing to travel nothing else mattered.
I went to Mexico shortly after swine flu was made public...I wasnt worried at all....I never drink water in other countries anyway...just washed my hands wayyyyy more often
Maybe in a few years you can do a destination & renew your vows

I was looking into Sandals Grande Antigua as an extention to our HM but I heard its really hard to get a direct flight

If I was having a destination weddin, it'd be in hawaii. I would have the lei ceremony where they wrap your hands together. I think it'd be so unique and romantic.

We had a direct flight there. I think it's a little more in price. If you choose to book, go through Liberty Travel. We ended up getting a $250 spa credit. I know if you choose to go to the Sandals in St. Lucia, the flight is not direct.

Thats exactly what I did. Im using all my previous deposits for my shower. All of my vendors allowed me to roll the money over and change the date without any problems
