Has anyone ever

hired a second photographer from another company.

I think there was a post a while back asking about doing this, but personally I've never heard of it. I'm having 2 photographers, but both are from the same place (Perceptions, we're using Anthony Vasquez and one of his assistants). Have you thought of hiring a second photographer from the same place? Do you mind saying why you're looking to hire from the outside?

i think i remember a bride's review where she had multiple photographers from different companies.

we are most likely having our photographer and also someone that FH works with that is trying to add to his portfolio

We have 2 photographers from our company but are considering adding another photogapher. He works iwth FH and works more independantly. He has a much more edgy style than the photographers we booked with and his photojounalistic eye is crazy. He isnt charging us much so I thought it would be nice to have a few pictures from a different perspective.

I do plan on letting all photographers know about eachother

I mentioned it to my engagement party photographer and told her I would hire another photographer and a videographer (where I wanted to get at the same place - which is still UNknown) and she informed me that she doesn't like working with another photographer unless she brings someone...

what do I do? Was thinking of telling her she can do candids.

Unless its specified in the contract you can do whatver you like. It's not up to the photog. You're the boss.
Another way to get candid shots is to give all the guests disposable cameras and have them take random pics.

Im not hiring a second photographer but I am getting the snap shot thing from the dj with the tvs that display them.
