Is there anything that at first you said that you were not doing for you wedding that you added? Are there things that you didn't know existed until you joined LIW that you are adding now?


1. We were not going to do limos and just get married at the RH but people thought we were crazy and told us that we needed limos for weddings and we gave in. We also changed the location so it would make sense in our heads too.

2. The Card Box......I am used to the bags and the birdcages at wedding I had no idea what a DOC was until I came on here and I got one. She is awesome. I'm not adding it but I have never heard of cry packs, and slipper baskets.

We originally weren't having a string quartet or a DOC. I wasn't doing custom invites but now I am b/c of LIW. After seeing everyones invites, how could I not?

we probably wouldnt be doing a cardbox without LIW - i never would have thought of it!
Also, we probably would have ordered our invite online instead of doing the pockets like we're doing now (thanks to an LIW girl)

I wasn't going to have bridesmaids, but I decided on two. Also, I didn't know what a card box was before LIWeddings.

I had no idea what a DOC was before LIW and probably wouldn't have had one, but now I definitely have one, its almost a must have for me

We originally said we were going to have a dj not a band. But my father and FIL's insisted we get a band. So we've got Code Bleu

I didn't know about Channa Plaques or b-pics before I came on here and I'm doing both.

LOL I just wanted a small, simple but classy wedding. FH had a different vision and let's just say it's gotten a LOT bigger than I ever dreamed. I feel it's more important to him that it be big than it is to me for it to be small so we're doing it his way.

There are many things I didn't know of until this site (I was never into weddings before but always enjoyed attending them!). I never heard of engagement pics, boudoir pics, card boxes or channa plaques. I'm sure I could go on, but that's all that pops into my head now.

I've gotten sooo many great ideas from LIW that I never would have come up with on my own.
To name a few...

A monogram
Bathroom baskets
Signature drink
Candy Buffet

I can't wait to incorperate all these things. Such great ideas. Thanks girls.

Added...not really sure if I can give LIW credit or my DOC or MOH. DOC is an official vendor and MOH was an '08 bride.

So, I guess, yeah it all started with LIW.

I dont think there is anything that i said i wouldnt do that im doing now...

i havent decided if im doing the plaque yet, but if i do it will be directly because of LIW... i would have no idea what it was if it werent for LIW
