turn your rings around??

im a NYC commuter and i do this when things look a little funny on the train...

do you turn your rings around? my sister thinks im weird lol

i just dont want to attract any attention to myself or get robbed ( insurance or no insurance... not an experience I want to have)

OMG I thought I was a freak for doing this as well!!!

I turn it around when I see some creeper on the train or if I am walking in an enclosed area, I turn it around so I don't bang it on anything. I always think to myself that I am just being paranoid but I'm glad I'm not alone!

I live in the city, and I don't ever turn it around. But, I'm one of those naive people who think nothing will ever happen to them.

I dp have friends who turn their rings AND keep their hands in their pockets.

I do it too. The entire time i was in disney world in august my ring was turned. (I never take it off unless theres water involved.)

I do a lot for work. I'm a social worker, and often have to go into some very sketchy areas. I definitely turn my ring around when I'm in those areas.

if I feel like im in a shady area, oh hell yea I turn my ring around!!! I don't want to ever be in the position of being robbed! especailly my ring that is so special to me!!!

When I was in my early / mid 20's I commuted into NYC for work, I wasnt engaged at this point but wore rings. I ALWAYS turned them rings around. My step-sister put the fear of heck in me when she told me this story about her roommate getting jumped in Penn (in the early 90's) and getting seriously beaten for a necklace she was wearing. Scary stuff!

Nope. I work at 143 and Broadway and have never turned my rings....I feel like the more you try to hide something the more you look like a target.

I always do when I'm going onto the subway...which is a few times a day. I don't pick and choose when, I just made it a habit to always do it.

I've lived in and commuted throughout this city since I was 13...seen enough stupid crap over years.
