is your new name longer than your old??

i went from danielle delemo to danielle patterson and i feel like my new name is so much longer than my old!

also, i am having a hard time remembering that i am danielle patterson and not danielle delemo...its so weird to call myself that or hear my name being called. and not everywhere is changed, like my dentist, and i had to say danielle delemo-patterson lol

Mine is a letter shorter than my maiden name. I had to pick up a prescription the other day at the pharmacy and couldnt remember if it was under my maiden name or married name. It gets confusing sometimes!

I went from a one syllable name to a three syllable name -- 5 letters to 8 letters. It seems soooooooo much longer!

When I leave messages for people, I actually use both last names because my maiden name just flowed so well with my first name before, so it sounds more normal to me to say it that way. Everyone always used to call me by my first and last name -- in college and at my job.

I'm finally getting used to being called by my new name, though. To the point that when my alma matter called today looking for $$$, I was surprised to hear someone call me Ms. maiden name.

i went from Jessica Pignetti to Jessica Duda

it took some time but i think it help get use to it considering i practiced writting it for the entire time i was engaged!

Mine is 2 letters longer - but whats so funny is that I really only changed the 1st half of my last name. I joked about this to people when DH & I first met - that our last names had the same ending - I guess it was fate that we were meant to be:

Went from: Ludemann

To: Kuerlemann

weird , huh? Lucky for me I married a German!

I hyphenated my name so now my name is 6 characters longer than before...I am still getting use to it.

I had a similar exprience... except that only two letter changed in my name....

Guzman to Gelman.... Like most girls still having trouble remembering what I've changed and what hasn't.

Mine is... but I only went from a 4 letter last name to a 5 letter one.

Although technically it's still a 4 letter one since I still haven't started the name change process yet.

I hyphenated mine so it is LONGER. . would have been shorter otherwise. . sometimes I use both sometimes I just feel too lazy! It's a big mouthful!

Mine is shorter by two letters and two syllables, and people can even pronounce it now! Lucky me! I love having a last name that people can say, though I bet people will still spell it incorrectly.

My maiden name is Larubbio, my married name is Healey.

Mine is a little longer.. and really freaking horrible. I went from Parker (nice and easy) to..................Handwerker.!!!!!!!! The jokes haven't stopped.. but what can ya do

I keep forgetting im now a Handwerker (god it sounds awful) and I keep using my maiden name. I went to the doc the other day and they were making fun of me bc I gave them all my information using Parker and then was like 'no wait.. thats not my last name!' It is going to take a while

Me too!!! I did this at work last week and then was like 'oops nevermind, my name is actually...' everyone in my meeting started cracking up
