Any OHEKA advice?
This is my first post! I really liked Oheka Castle when I went to see it, and it is within our budget if we have it at an off peak time. Is anyone planning a wedding there or know anyone who did? I would appreciate any reviews, advice, suggestions, etc about your experience with Oheka. Anything I need to know before I book?

Re: Any OHEKA advice?
Try doing a search for Oheka or Oheka and Review. Past brides will post reviews on venues and vendors.

Re: Any OHEKA advice?
I'm getting married at Oheka on July 4, 2011!I fell in love with the castle while doing research on venues, and it was even more beautiful in person. I booked it last Sunday, on the evening of my visit!
Oheka is definitely more affordable off-peak and on weekdays. July 4th happens to land on a Monday in 2011, and, thankfully, unlike most other venues, they price the date as a Monday, not a Sunday.
If you do book it, I recommend working with Rick. He's really reasonable, will throw in other perks, and will work with you on prices.
Don't be get scared off by the high prices they initially quote you. Once you ask them to look into specific dates, they'll email you quotes for those dates, which are much lower!
I really appreciate that they don't nickel and dime you. Nearly everything I'd want (ie. raw seafood station, caviar and vodka station, dessert cafe, bridal suite, valet, ceremony) is included in the price whereas I found they were additional at other places. Also, contrary to what some believe, they don't charge additional for outside vendors--they just ask that the vendors are insured.
Feel free to message me with questions or further discussion, although my planning process has just begun not too long ago!

Re: Any OHEKA advice?
I'm getting married at Oheka Castle Sept 2010. I am new to LIwedding too:) I book Oheka on Sept 09 and i'm working with Kelly. Kelly is very nice and very helpful. Everytime i have questions i called her and left her message, she will respond you as soon as possible. I agree withmonamiestephanieThey don't nikle and dime you. Don't be affraid to ask for extra. The price is deffinately worth for what Oheka included like monamiestephanie
said.
I just book my wedding coordinator and already meet few live bands and florist. Feel free to message me if you have any questions:)
Good Luck and congratulation.

Re: Any OHEKA advice?
I looked at Oheka but I wanted to get married Saturday evening in July 2011. That put Oheka just over my budget. I am so jealous of the ladies that are getting married there. Oheka Castle is beautiful.Welcome New Vendors
