Does this seem right? (girls who ordered from macy's bridal!)
I went to Macy's Bridal (in Manhattan) in March of this year where I found my dress. My mom put down a 50% deposit on it. They told me it would be in in about 6 months. So in September, I called, and they told me since my wedding date wasn't until July 2010, they werent ordering it until the beginning of the March and it would be in at the end of March.
Is this normal? Does it make sense? Something about the times just isn't adding up

Personally i think it shouldnt be their decision to as of when you want your dress ordered. If you want your dress by March 2010 I would go and tell them this and make them order the dress so you can have it when YOU want it. And especially when you have paid 50% on the dress. Good luck...

I have never heard of dresses coming that fast. We ordered mine last month and they said they would be here around March. I want them here sooner rather than later in case there are any issues with alterations.

I ordered my dress in May of 08 and it was in by Late Nov on 08. They didnt wait to order mine and even put in a early wedding date without me even asking.

And to think I haven't even ordered mine yet...why does it take 6 months anyways? What are they doing, growing new fabric and stitching it one thread at a time? Seriously, these time frames are retarded.
