Re: Veil shopping....

Nope. I went solo. I asked my mom, though, and she said it was fine if I went without her.

Re: Veil shopping....

I went with a friend...I don't think its a big deal at all. Mine was very simple and it took 5 mins!! No need to drag my mom around for every tiny decision.

Re: Veil shopping....

I bought mine at the same time as my dress, so my mom was there. But I don't think it's a big deal if your mom isn't there for every little thing.

Re: Veil shopping....

I did, but thats because I fell in love with it when I was buying my dress so we did all at once. We are super close so I have brought her to get almost everything with me. All of my BP is from out of state and I can't bring my FH so I've been doing everything with her.

Re: Veil shopping....

I brought my mom, my godmother (who bought me the veil and headpiece), and fmil. I was glad to have their opinions, and it's weird - my mom didn't cry when I found my dress, but she cried when I put on the headpiece and veil. Having said that, did you just get the veil? Are you going to also get a headpiece or hair ornament? You could always take your mom back for the 'experience' to show her firsthand what you picked out, and then make it a point to take her for the other accessory shopping.
