What was your 2nd choice RH??

Old Field Club is truly my dream RH...I love everything about it!!! But if we didn't end up going with OFC...we probably would have booked with Milleridge Cottage. FH and I loved this RH, it has a similar feel to OFC and their prices were great! So if I wasn't an OFC bride, I would have been a Milleridge bride!

What was your 2nd choice RH?

Re: What was your 2nd choice RH??

well we didn't look anywhere else. I used to do wedding photography and I've seen pretty much every other venue and knew it wasn't what I was looking for and FI and I fell in love with Riviera the second we stepped in.

I would say, from the RHs i've been to in the past, my second choice would have been Chateau La Mer.... it's gorgeous there and if wasn't so far away from the church I would have definitely dragged FI there to see it, but I knew from the start it wasn't a possibility

Re: What was your 2nd choice RH??

The Watermill, the rooms were beautiful and the price was in our budget, but would have been too far from the church and they have two weddings at a time.

same here!

The watermill was the first RH that we saw so we didn't really know what to expect. I thought it was gorgeous, but FH didn't really love it. After we saw the Woodlands, that was it! I couldn't stop thinking about it and FH loved it too so we just knew it was the right place for us. There wasn't really a big decision where we were really weighing our options between the two. We said that if we could figure out a way to make the woodlands work budget-wise, we'd def book there! If we couldn't, I think we would have continued to look at other halls.

I think when we saw Chateau Briand we were also hooked. But our second choice was the Swan Club. (I know two different looks...lol)

I think my second choice was a tie between the Woodlands and Fox Hollow!

Re: What was your 2nd choice RH??

I really liked Majestic Gardens.

Also, in high school everyone had their sweet 16 at Old Field Club and I always had an idea in my head I'd get married there one day. Same with Danfords - big with sweet 16s at my high school so those were in the running too - but I chose somewhere different for exactly that reason - difference, I wanted something new.

Re: What was your 2nd choice RH??

I was torn between the Fox Hollow and Westbury Manor. I loved the Fox Hollow because of the hotel right next door and the beautiful gardens. I liked the Westbury Manor because FH wanted to take my there to his FDNY dinner dance but never asked me because he was too shy. He finally told me how he wanted to ask me to the Westbury Manor for our first date but didn't have the guts at the time. I also liked the Mansion theme and the Peacocks that were on the grounds. However, when FH and I walked into The Inn at New Hyde Park, we both knew that this would be the place to have our wedding.

Re: What was your 2nd choice RH??

East Wind...I loved the grounds and everything about it but ti was too far for my OOT guest to travel. Also, the cost for a summer wedding was kinda expensive. Without those factors, I would have booked there!!

Re: What was your 2nd choice RH??

Second choice....definitely Chateau Briand. It was the total opposite of Jericho Terrace (JT has that classy catering hall feel, where as CB makes you feel as if u were in South Beach). Prices were the same, FH LOOOOVED JT...so I guess I took one for the team, lol. Either way the wedding will be amazing!
