Fantastic Friday 10/30 NWQOTD

Ok - so we've picked out DH's annoying little habits & faults & we talked about what DH does that makes us really nuts & what causes the conflict between us. So nooooooooowwwwwww....

Brag about DH's most recent act of devotion to you - whether verbal or in the physical or(tangible) sense.

Last night DH & I went to amazing charity Halloween party. We had a great time dressing up - partying & meeting up w/ a few old friends we haven't seen in quite a number of years.

Anyway, we get home & are getting ready for bed - lying in bed together & (as I usually do when we are getting ready for bed) I tell DH that I love him. He usually responds in kind right away. But this time he didn't. He actually waited a few minutes & responded to me with this:

'I love you so much it hurts me. I mean that in the sense that when I have to work the night shift & I cant be with you to cuddle with you & hold you every night - it hurts me b/c I want to be with you so badly. But then I think about how I get to come home to you & how you welcome me home every time with happy eyes to see me and hugs & kisses for me - it makes me feel so good & so happy & so in love with you. I never had that in my 1st marriage & that's how I know that I made the right decision by marrying you.'

(and yes...I was already crying 1/2 thru what he was saying...even now as I am typing this up I had to stop a few times b/c it just got me in the heart so deeply....I am so truly blessed to have such a wonderful husband who tells me the most beautiful & touching things!)

Ok does anyone have a tissue for me...?...hehe

ok you just made me cry!! lol

DH has his very romantic ways to him, he also had his very not romantic ways! (like right now listening to opie and anthony and playing playstation! Lol!!)

anyways since he is a chef he surprises me alot with food!! cooking me dinner! one perticular dinner was our 'melting pot' dinner! he knows how much i LOVE the restaurant the melting pot and since we got a new fondue pot, he bought everything we need to have a night just like we would have at the melting pot! from the cheese to the chocolate!! it was the perfect night!

That is sooooo cute! You are very lucky that your DH is able to express himself so honestly and deeply like that.

Right now my DH is on a business trip and we've both been super busy so we've barely spoken, but I'd say the last thing he did for me was to buy we a bouquet of flowers and the help me cook and clean for like 10 straight hours to prepare for a party I was having, that he wasn't even going to be at. And then he thanked me when I gave him some leftovers. So he basically thanked me for putting him to work and not getting any payout for it until 7 hours later.

i have to say i am ver ylucky.dh does wonderful sweet things for me everyday. everynight when it is time for me to go to bed he comes upstairs with me and rubs my back and legs until i fall asleep!!

he also always helps clean the house.

today i fell down the stairs at work and he said that tonight he is gonna take good care of me!! he is such a sweetie!!!

I have been working really late the past few weeks, and I have been so stressed. I have been coming home to DH cleaning, putting away groceries he bought, and/or cooking. That has meant so much to me. I usually get home earlier, so these are things that I normally do. I just thought it was so nice for him to take care of things without being asked.

He made me fresh homemade whipped cream yesterday morning and waffles w/ strawberries and blueberries.

He bought me 2 chocolate cakes for my birthday and put candles on both and actually sang Happy Birthday really loud (my dh has a terrible singing voice )

It was so cute.

Then this morning I wasn't feeling too good after all those martinis...and DH was cleaning the apt, he made the bed, vacuumed, and made me lunch.
