Let me start off by saying thank you to all of you who posted. I learned a great deal throughout the planning process. I never posted but I feel it necessary to post my review now so as to help all future brides with some of their decisions. In the end, the only thing that matters is who you are marrying and I married my best friend and soulmate. I was not picky and did not care about every little detail. I think in the end, this helped me to have a better less stressful day.

She was amazing! Without her, we would not have been able to get married in 6 months. My husband and I do not live on long island, so my mom ran so many errands for us as well as keeping the stress level and nerves on the day of to a minimum. Also, she was my florist (the floweres were amazing, better than I could have ever imagined), she did the invitations which were great, the favors and many many more things!

Jill and her assistant were amazing. They were professional and extremely talented. All 7 of us that got our makeup done had different looks that lasted all day and night. Also, everyone got a lipstick or lipgloss for touchups and I got a bunch of things that I absolutely love and use all the time. They arrived on time and began working....stayed for touchups........and listened to everyones requests. They airbrushed all of us and created a unique look for everyone. They were both very sweet and I would recommend Jill to anyone.

All of our hair looked great and stayed throughout the day and into the evening (except for my sister-in-law whose curls began to fall). DM does great hair but I would be very wary about booking his services. I booked DM because he came highly recommended to me. I liked the trial and so I booked him to do my hair as well as my mom, sister, grandma and sister-in-law. The week of my wedding as I was confirming with all of my vendors DM emailed me asking how I planned on providing his transportation (by the way he had already been paid in full). I was shocked because this was not mentioned at the trial or in the contract. My mom agreed to pay for a car service to take him from Manhatten to my parents house in long island because she wanted him to show up on the day of without any issues. On my wedding day, DM showed up to my parents house at 7am, 2 hours before the scheduled time (I guess better early than late). I wouldn't have minded except he left around 11:30 and my photographer wasn't even showing up until 1. I thought it would have been more professional for him to stick around a little longer for touch-ups for photos. Moreover, DM left the house in his assistants car (really now??) so who knows what he did with the extra $300 my mom paid him for transportation. Also, the contract with him included a complimentary haircut. DM advised me to wait until after the wedding to cut my hair so as to keep it as long as possible for the wedding. So a few days after the wedding I emailed him to schedule an appointment. He informed me he was out of town on a destination wedding. I continued to email him for the next 5 weeks (about 1 email per week) trying to get an idea of when he would be available. His responses were always that he wasn't in town and that when he got back he might take time off because he had been so busy. Well, my friend called to inform me she had just booked a trial with him that upcoming week, so I emailed him calling him out on his lie. Long story short, I never got my complimentary haircut. Overall, he was talented but very unprofessional and difficult. Although I was very happy with my hair on my wedding, I would not recommend DM.

I got the dresses at Paradise Bridal in Patchogue. They were great, I got my dress there too and my mom got hers there as well. I only had one complaint when one manager was a complete ***** one day. other than that they were great and pretty accomodating, appointments took a while though sometimes

Hello, my name is Stephanie and I also booked DM and everything you said above is exactly true and he is very rude, I am in the process of trying to get a refund, whiched he has refused to do, so now I feel like now am I out a thosand dollars and now have to find someone new to do my hair.

Oh my goodness, that is horrible!!! I have to say he was the biggest disappointment. I would never hire him again. I have even heard through other vendors that he is sneaky and tries to get as much money as possible out of people, even if it involves cheating them. He avoided me for months after the wedding always claiming to be out of town or just taking a break but when a friend called to get a trial he was ready and available. I just figured the best thing to do was to spread the word of my experience because I would never want anyone else to go through this. Just spread the word so no one else will hire him. Sorry for your experience. I hope it all works out.
