My Wedding Review
Giorgio’s at Foxhill June 26, 2009 Wedding
I just wanted to share my review to help others. I'm not a huge poster, but everyones reviews helped me during the planning process so I decided to help out too. All pictures in this review are professional pictures taken by Katie Lyman. My wedding was fairytale themed- so there were small hints of fairytale throughout.
Weather:A
The day started out with a thunderstorm, but by the time my photographer got to my house it was beautiful out. The sun was out until cocktail hour, then we had a huge hail and thunderstorm. But the best part was that after the storm there was the most beautiful rainbow at sunset. We got the best pictures!
Giorgio's: A+
From the moment we decided to check out Giorgio’s, we knew this was the place we wanted to have our reception. It is one of the most beautiful places…from the green golf course, private beach, and gorgeous ballroom! The staff, service and food were absolutely amazing. Everything was perfect! We truly enjoyed every moment of our wedding day and are so glad we chose Giorgio’s.
The Baiting Hollow Congregational Church: A+
Ever since I was a little girl, I would pass this adorable old fashioned white church in Baiting Hollow and say I wanted to get married there. My dream became a reality and I was able to get married in this little church. My pastor performed the ceremony and everything went perfect. After we were pronounced man and wife we rang the steeple bell together!

This was absolutely my best decision! Katie was amazing to work with and she took the most beautiful pictures. She makes you feel so comfortable and at ease the whole day….I absolutely loved her! On my wedding day she came to take pictures at my house and her assistant (who was also wonderful) took pictures of the boys at my husband’s house. My pictures came out amazing…she also makes a beautiful slideshow 2 weeks after the wedding. Write me an FM if you would like to see the slideshow.
Heres just a couple of pictures...
Gemini Studios (Video): A
Gemini did a fantastic job! On our wedding day I didn’t even know that he was there, he was great to work with. We got the edited copy of our video & the raw footage- and we loved it! The only problem I had with this studio was that sometimes they are a little hard to get a hold of.
Tommy Tunes & Gene( “Frank Sinatra-like” Singer): A
Tommy Tunes can certainly put on a wonderful party!! They kept the party going and everyone dancing all night. Our Frank Sinatra Singer, Gene was also amazing…everyone thought he was absolutely wonderful. My MC Dan and DJ Glenn were awesome, I would definitely recommend them. The only problem I did have was when the father/daughter dance played you could only hear the music not the words (there was a problem with the connection). I ended up singing the song “Cinderella” to my dad while we were dancing- which was very emotional. They did end up playing the song again with the words…and everyone danced to it at the end of the night. Otherwise everything was perfect!
With All My Heart Florist: A+
The women who worked at “With All My Heart” were absolutely wonderful, they stayed within my budget and had a lot of great ideas. As you will see I absolutely love roses…so that was the main flower used for my wedding.
Tall centerpieces: Different shades of pink roses on a candelabra type stand…they were just what I wanted!
Bouquets: My bouquet was ivory roses with stephanotis with crystals. The BM bouquet was a mixture of pinks and ivory roses. They all came out gorgeous!!!
Church/Reception Pieces: They beautiful mixture of spring and summer flowers (pinks and ivories). They were both at the church and then moved to the reception. They also came out perfect!! 
Nicole D’Angio (for Hair): A+

Nicole is such a wonderful person and she did an absolutely beautiful job on my hair. She spends so much time with you and truly cares about you. She did both my hair as well as my little sisters. My sister wanted something simple and put up…and she did great a job. I wanted something that was elegant (princessy) but still me. She put extensions in and no one could tell (not even my husband). My hair style was just what I wanted….it came out amazing!!!
Julie Flemming (Make-up): A+
I got Julies name from Nicole D’Angio…and she was also wonderful to work with. I don’t usually wear too much make-up so I wanted something very light. She worked with me and loved how my make-up came out. She truly cares about her clients and wants you to feel comfortable all day.
Sir Oliver Limos
The limos were beautiful and service was wonderful. However, Royles Royce got to my house and wouldn’t start. My father and I had to take the limo with the girls to get the church. I didn’t let it ruin my day, but I would have liked some alone time with my dad before heading into the church. The owner did call me a week or two before and tell me that they were having some trouble with the Royles and asked if I wanted to switch. I didn’t switch- so it was partly my fault.
Fantasia Bridal in Rocky Point: A
They were absolutely wonderful!!! Stephanie, Alisha and everyone else who worked there were truly a pleasure. I got my dress, the bm dresses, my flower girls dress and my mothers dress there.
My Dress: Maggie Sottero Victoriana- I absolutely loved my dress…it was my dream dress. The alterations came out perfectly and everything fit very well. I truly felt like a princess.
Bm Dresses: Bill Levkoff in Euro Pink with Champagne & Ivory for MOH. Most of the girls didn’t have a problem…one or two found a stitch that was loose so they went back to get it tightened. I loved the way the dresses looked in the pictures…some of the girls loved the way the dress fit and others said it got uncomfortable as the night wore on.
My Moms Dress: It was a dark brown Jovani dress and it looked beautiful on her. It took her a while to find a dress- but when she finally found this one she loved it!
La Bonne Boulangerie: A
The cake was beautiful and tasted wonderful! I would definitely recommend this bakery.
Cake Topper: Cinderella & Prince from Lenox
I decided not to put my cake topper on top of the cake so I put it to the side. I absolutely love it though!
The Fat Cat Paperie: A+
My wedding was fairytale themed so I wanted something very different for my initiations. Pamela and Jennifer did a wonderful job…they custom created my invitations to look like a coach carriage. I truly loved them although they were a little expensive.
Save the Dates: A Giftful Heart A+

I got save the date magnets with our picture on them from A Giftful Heart. A lot of people loved them because they could put them right on their refrigerator. I would definitely recommend this company.
Thomas Knoell Headpiece:A+
I wore the elegance headpiece…it was light, sparkly and looked perfect. Although this headpiece was a lot of money, I think it was definitely worth it.
Veil from Paridise Bridal
I loved my veil from Paridise Bridal- it was simple yet elegant. Paridise Bridal had a huge selection of veils and the girl who helped me was wonderful and patient. The veil, however, took a long time to come in and when I went to pick it up the women in the front of the store was rude. She yelled at me bc I didn't make an appointment to pick up my veil, even though it was 2 monthes late coming in (and no one even called to tell me it was in- I had to call). The veil looked beautiful and went with my gown perfectly :)
Bridesmaid Gifts
I got my bridesmaids totes from www.justembroideredtotes.com and they came out adorable! I filled the totes with a matching colored robe, a Vera Bradley make-up bag, flip flops from Old Navy and a gift card to their favorite store. They all loved their gifts!!! I took this picture...
Groomsmen Gifts
My husband got the guys a beer mug from Things Remembered in the mall with their names engraved in it. He also got them a baseball hat either Yankees or Mets as well as a gift card to Best Buy. The guys also loved their gifts!
Card Box from For The Modern Bride: A+
I had my card made by forthemodernbride.com and they did a amazing job. It matched my theme perfectly and held all the cards!
Calligraphy for Envelopes from Inkspun:
Bill from Inkspun did an awesome job! The envelopes were done quickly and it was really cheap. It saved me so much time and money.
DYI: A+
I spent a lot of time on the DYI because I love crafts and I wanted to add little special touches to my wedding.
Menus:
This took a while to make...just because I am a perfectionest. I had a monogram made for me and I used it on the top of my menus. I printed them out on photo paper and then taped them to pink paper. In this picture you can kinda see them in the backround.
Coach Carriage for our Table:
I bought a wire coach carriage online and then added some pearls and flowers. It gave our table a nice little touch:)
Table Cards:
I bought plastic glass slippers and then made my own table cards. I printed out the names and added a monogram on photo paper- then I taped the photopaper to pink paper. It was a lot of work but they came out cute!
Programs:
These came out amazing- but they took forever. I think it took me and one of my bridesmaids like a week to complete. I had to print out the four pages on a cream paper, cut out our names, put the programs together, glue on the flower & pearl, and finally stamp the back with "Happily Ever After." I love them!!
Petal cones:
I made these out of dolleys from the dollar store. Everyone loved them and they came out great!!!
