How much are you budgeting for your honeymoon AND where are you planning on going?? (w/ Poll!)

FH and I want to go to French Polynesia but it's sooo expensive. We figure that it is going to be a once in a lifetime type of experience and it's our honeymoon so we'll probably splurge. I don't know how we are going to end up paying for our wedding and honeymoon!

How much are you budgeting for your honeymoon?? (if you feel comfortable giving this information)

Also, where are you planning on going??

I'm budgeting 5K, really hoping that we can keep it around there. At first I was dreaming about an overwater bungalow in Fiji or something along those lines, but I don't think we'll be able to afford it, so now I'm thinking Hawaii (if we could afford that haha!) I really don't want to do something cheap since it is the HM, but FH is in school, so I'm the sugar momma and I just don't know how its gonna work! I'm thinking about maybe doing one of those HM registries....

We're budgeting about 4000, we're going to Canada. We haven't decided between Montreal, Quebec, or Toronto.

It is def expensive and I'm not sure how we're going to pay for both either! I try not to think about it lol!

the plan is to go to disney for a week (either grand floridian or the polynesian ) then to mexico for a week (excellence playa mujeres)....looking into St. Lucia though....

really excited! we cant wait!

since we already decided we are going back to Couples Swept Away in Jamaica, we pretty much know the pricing. When we went last time (6 days, 5 night including airfare) it came out to around $2500 and the whole time while we were there, we maybe spent a total of $200 on buying gifts/prof. pics/activites off the resort. When we go this time around, we are definitely going to stay a little longer and maybe upgrade the room we had last time (and I am definitely slipping in a massage ) so roughly around $4k

Haven't actually started to price packages yet; but figuring around $4K want to go to Europe-spain or Italy (both if possible)

We're budgeting whatever it costs to go to Italy. FH promised me he'd make it happen (but he doesn't fool anyone cause he wants to go more than I do, I'd be happy with the Caribbean )

We aren't really putting a budget on it. But we are going to Hawaii for 3 weeks! We are teachers getting married July 3rd so we have the whole summer off. We don't have all the details yet but we want to do a week in Oahu, a 1 week cruise around the Hawaiian Islands and then a week in Maui! We figure it's our only honeymoon so it is worth the splurge!

We are getting married in October and going on a 3 day mini moon! We are planning a nice honeymoon in February of the following.

Montreal or Quebec!!! I went to university for 4 yrs in Montreal and it is such an awesome city!! Quebec is more French and a little more quaint.

OMG this is our big splurge!!! I LOVE TO TRAVEL... and i harass FH to go everywhere!!! LOL!! but we decided on a Meditteranean (sp?) cruise.... italy, greece, turkey, and egypt....prob cost abt $10,000 but the cruise dates and prices for 2011 arent out yet

My grandfather's brother offered us his time share for a week in Cancun - at all all inclusive resort... so I'm not sure how much it would end up costing us.

My uncle offered us his time share in Dominican Republic at an all inclusive resort- it's cheaper so we might do that, but I'd rather not because I've already been there.

but since the hotel rooms are already paid for.. I don't want to spend more than $2,500 on top of that (flights, all inclusive, etc.).

We're going to Sandals St. Lucia Regency and staying in the Millionaire Suite for 6 days then flying to Florida and taking a 7 day cruise on the Oasis of the Seas (debuting in December- it will be the largest cruise ship ever)!! We're staying in a mini suite

OK I'm done with my excitement I promise!!

So to answer the question $10K

I also really want to stay in one of those over the water bungalos, but we also realized that we cannot afford it. We decided that we'd rather find a better deal on the actual travel and accomodations and be able to spend more money while we are on our honeymoon.

We've been thinking about a sandals resort in St. Lucia. Hoping to spend about &6,000 to $7,000

OMG you lived in Montreal?! That's so cool! We have wanted to go to there for such a long time, and I do think we are leaning towards Montreal, I read they have a fireworks festival around the time we would be going, and I loooove fireworks.

I always wanted to go to Aruba but none of the places I've looked at are like 'it for me' ..any suggestions?? haha.but I really am in love with the SANDALS ANTIGUA!!! omg I want it so bad haha
