hello! you guys have company
So far we've only booked hall and date. We decided to get on board with our planning early just to lock in some 'recession' 2009 prices.
All my friends are looking at me crazy for having such a long engagements. But frankly we don't care. They are not helping us pay for this. Can't wait for January to come by so we can officially say our wedding is in 2 yrs

I booked my hall for July 2011 and then we changed our date to almost a year later.. we also wanted to take advantage of 2009 prices and actually booked our dj too lol

My Fiance and I hav finally decided to start looking in nov. for 2012. we really want May 5, 2012 but we shall see obv. depending whats out there.did you girls have any problems? any advice to give?

No problems really excepy financial ones =/We had to push the wedding back bc we didnt realize how much it was going to cost... you dont realize how all the extras add up and we thought we woul dtake extra time while we are still young no biggiee
I looked around alot b4 booking mostly in Brooklyn and Staten Island though. if you are interested in any halls here let me know. i might still have quotes laying around..
defff look around b4 booking .. you have plenty of timee. compare everything each hall gives you, esp the menu !!

yayyyy 2012 brides!!!!!! dont feel bad at all do everything at your own pace, my engagement will be 2 years and 1.5 months by the time i get married, yeah it kinda suc ks cuz the whole buzz of it all wears off for a while but its gonna go by before you know it!happy planning to everyone!!!!

Hey don't feel so bad when I booked my wedding it was 2 years and 7 months away and now it's only a year away so trust me it is going to flyyyyyy by girlies Happy planning!!!!

We got our major vendors (RH, DJ, Photographer, photobooth, officiant) for 'recession' prices(And they've all admitted they're going up in the upcoming years)...Not to mention, everybody is 100% available

my advice to you is not to go crazy choosing your bridal party. lots of girls on here regret some of their choices or grow apart from the person which makes the situation akward.
also, take your time shopping around for your vendors. we got most of our planning done very early which made the process very easy, but do your research on here. if i could do it again i probably would have used a different videographer (something more funky and not traditional) but i could break my contract.
also as far as dress shopping goes, i ordered my dress very early and never regretted it. some of the girls on here did the same but wound up getting another one for whatever reason.
be wise! ask us marreid girls and planning girls questions! its worth it. and we all welcome you!
