I lost almost 50 pounds on WW 2 1/2 years ago. Still maintaining that loss by going to meetings every week. I'm also a leader

Re: 2011 BRIDES DIET

09 bride here! I am on WW and I have lost 7 pounds so far. Started up in late August, so I am doing pretty well for just a few weeks on it. I am hoping to loose 15 in total, so I am halfway to my goal...who knows if I will be able to lose 8 pounds in 53 days, but I am sure going to give it my best shot!!!

Good luck girls!!

Re: 2011 BRIDES DIET

I'm crashing, I'm a 2010 bride. I just started WW last and I'm down 2.2 lbs.

I'm thinking of a realistic goal of 30 lbs by my wedding date.

Good luck everyone!

Re: 2011 BRIDES DIET

I have lost 25lbsin 2 months by walking and going to gym. I did not join WW and have been following a pretty reasonable diet of three meals a day and drinking A LOT of water. I have gotten rid of all juices and only drink water and milk with my Cheerios in the morning.

Re: 2011 BRIDES DIET

so i just bought Big Loser for Wii and i have to say it is a great program. Def. beats going to the gym and it really breaks down your daily caloric intake to reach your desired weight. My body is so sore from just 20 min of doing a routine- lol.

Re: 2011 BRIDES DIET

Just thought I would add (as someone who's tried every diet possible) weight watchers works. It's one of the few diets that combines a healthy balanced diet with regular exercise. The South Beach diet is also one of the more sensible diets and can help you lose weight over the long term . Stay away from Atkins, shakes and anything thats low calorie. They don't work!

Re: 2011 BRIDES DIET

I've lost 15 pounds since January 1 by not really doing anything drastic. No money involved or diet plans. More of just a lifestyle change overall.

My doctor told me I have really high cholesterol so this is what I'm being doing to keep it down:
- Avoiding red meat (2x per month max)
- Avoid fried foods
- Avoid high fat snacks (e.g. eat a rice cake instead of a cookie)
- Eating a ton of fruit
- Eating much less cereal than I used to (I was one of those people that would have a bowl of cereal for breakfast and then another one around 10pm)
- Trying to eat earlier and avoid eating after 10pm (I usually go to bed around 1am so that's 3 hours to digest before sleeping)
- Using the stairs when I have to go up to the fourth floor of a building (anything above 4 gets an elevator)
- Limiting dessert to sugar-free jello / 100 calorie packs / fat free ice cream / things of that nature.
- I allow myself to cheat when I REALLY have to, but not if it's just a little craving (e.g. A piece of chocolate during that time of the month is OK).

I'm not much of an exerciser, but I've been parking my car further away from where I go more often. Also bought 'Just Dance' for the Wii, but generally only play it 1x per week.

HTH!
