Mother of Groom dresses

My FMIL is having a hard time finding a dress, and I was wondering if anyone could recommend a place for her to try...

She is plus-sized, and due to a fall, she has a hard time getting around (she uses a cane). She feels very self-conscious about going to try dresses on because of these things, so I wanted to find a place with staff who will be understanding and not too pushy or anything.

TIA!

Re: Mother of Groom dresses

If you are willing to drive to Brooklyn I got my dress for my younger son's wedding in Doris Fashions on 18th Ave & 68 Street. They are very nice in there. They also have bridal gowns, bridesmaids, flowergirl dresses etc. It is a small store but they have tons of dresses.
If you go ask for Maria to be your sales girl and then you want Josephine to do her alterations.

Good luck.
