Called out and I think im in trouble..oh well...

Make me feel better please...as some of you know, I had gotten food poisioning this weekened. I truly had to go into work but when i woke up this morning, I just COULDNT! It would have been impossible..I have a 45 minute drive each way and I was so dizzy and achy that I just couldnt make it. So when I was sleeping this morning, dh called my boss for me and said I wouldnt be in today. Please send me some words of kindness or hugs or anything to make me feel better

I really need them right now! Thanks!

I do hope u feel better soon, I had food poisoing about a month ago, I know how horrible it can be. Just remember as my mom and dad used to tell me, everyone is replacible but your health is not, it is more important to get better and to take care of yourself. Too bad on your boss.

thank you all! This makes me feel so much better. It just stinks that people dont put themselves in the shoes of others..I mean I have a wonderful boss who is actually a personal friend but I am just nervous that she will be upset about me calling out again..prolly just in my own mind ya know.

I know how you feel ... I feel soooooo guilty when I call in, even if I'm very sick. I would try not to worry if I was you ... you can always get another job, but your health is with you forever!!!!

Your health comes first!!! There is nothing you can do...I sometimes struggle with this incredible guilt when I call in sick but thats what sick days are for.

Awwwww Noreen honey!! I had no idea you were sick - and food poisoning no less - geez!!

I think one of the downfalls of working with kids is that you are expected to come in sick or not - it's like they don't care if you're alright, just if there's enough supervision. You have to take care of yourself, and not feel guilty about getting sick occasionally. Try to feel better soon honey! BIG HUGS!!!!

Noreen, they cannot fire you for being sick, did you go to the Dr??? I hope you feel better. I think you should go to your Dr so you at least get a note or something so that they do not think you were faking the funk.
